Bearing in mind I am a total twit when it comes to any sort of technical stuff like programming, can anyone assist me?
I have a website (see link below), and would like to show MY racing stats on it. I have read some of the previous posts but got lost big time
Why do I want stats on the site? - public humiliation is my "thing"
In plain simple words (use the KISS method – Keep It Simple for the Stupid)
How can I get my stats on my site
PS if anyone wants to comment on the site (even if only the LFS section) or make some suggestions please do so (either here or using the feeback on site)
Having purchased RFactor I found that while it looks pretty it's NOT LFS and it just sits on my hard drive gatering dust.
For me LFS makes it on the help and co-operation one can get on the forum never mind the fact that it is better
Are people here really trying to suggest that LFS is NOT real?
Do you mean to suggest that it's not better than those guys who go out in all kinds of 4 wheeled things on tarmac?illepall
I woulds agree with a lot of the above. If you took the bother to ask you are just what the game needs good clean racers.
Dont be bothered how fast you are just be clean and fair no one can ask for more
See ya on the track
"I am a novice SIM racer" - welcome to LFS
"LFS is a great SIM" - your darn right it is
"offline play is a little cold....." - on line is the only way to go and it's what LFS is all about
"have a family, ...." - we all had till we discovered LFS suggest you keepa picture of them beside the screen - "what's that dear?"
"When I log on ...but end up smashing into the back of people and spinning off. - you do get that on soem servers but NOT all
"Is there a mod.... - no this is a REAL sims with NO arcade stuff at all
"slow old gits like" - here's your twin and I'm at it a long time
"inconsiderate drivers" - like I say there are a few
If ya’ll wana see my spot it’s gonna cost ya - follow the link to my humble website see link below (I need some hits and some feedback) I also want that you should record your visit – ta very much System:- Dell P4 3Gh Dimension 4600 Ram 1 Gb V/Card Nvidia GEFORCE FX5200 Average frame rate – depends big time of number of racers – it can got as low as 15 at start then may settle at about 32 /35 during a race with say 4 others
1. Since I'm such a noob how long before I can go online? Are their noob servers?
A - go on line straight away but let the racers know you are new and take it easy, watch and learn but do driv
2. How do I know when my wheels are locked or about to lock? Yes, practice but in practice sessions how do I know?
A - all I can suggest is ...... (yes you quessed it already)
3. In the overtaking training, where should I overtake? Is it possible to overtake the Pro car? I'm faster than the OK car but I find it hard to pass him cleanly and when I pass him he often bumps me. I've only gotten around him cleanly a handful of times.
A - the AI hold a line ridgidy, real folk do not necessarly - like I say get on line
4. Are the crashes in the demo less realistic than in the full version. If I ram head on into a wall at 110 mph my car should become a toaster.
A - not that I have noticed. and yes just about
5. I'm married. How do you get the wife off your back so you can play?
A - If I told you that I would have to kill ya - (I still have not found out), so I lave the odd ear bashing. You know the drill - just like broken TV - all picture and no sound
Why would you want to play a great sim like LFS off line. The whole idea of a sim is playin gon line against REAL people.
However each to his / her own
If it is of any help I have a link on my site (see link below) which gives some information on what task you could turn off while racin.
I have a similar problems and this was about the only thing that worked for me (after reducing setting as mush as I could
Give it a go - I know how frustrating it is to have low frame rate
I fully agree that all deliberate bashers and smashers should be banned.
However we need to be aware that new racers will on occasions make some errors and while this is not the case here, I suggest that al all times we are aware of them and see to it that they are aware of their errors but are given all assistance to improve.
I would hate to see any new comers being put off by anyone as to be honest we were all there at sometime.
But like I said a big thumbs down to any wreckers. Maybe we should name and shame?
Yep - reckon that is good advise Just keep at it and you will see that it is the best few bob you ever spend
Maybe I will see you on the track sometime
