There's an Opera extension to hide the already watched videos... if you use Opera, look for it, if you don't, there should probably be a similar extension for your browser too.
After reading the comments I noticed you guys browse Youtube in a completely different way than I do.
It's not like I ever go to the youtube homepage, though... the only pages I really browse are the videos page (watching a video) and the search page. I wouldn't have noticed the homepage has changed if nobody said anything about it...
WOW. I have been there. IT WAS 2008??? REALLY? O.O
Time goes by really fast! It's already late 2011. I remember the Scirocco thread like it was 3 weeks ago.
I guess people in Brazil simply don't care much about that... this weekend a friend of mine saw a guy bumping his motorbike with a car (trying to park) when we were at the beach, and he didn't seem to care... he even commented at the time: "as long as he doesn't hit it strong enough to make the bike fall, I'm not bothering to get up from this chair and walk there to talk to him".
Yes, there are people who do care, but anyway...
I agree with JO53PHS, about almost everything including "I wouldn't dare make contact with another person's car". I didn't intend to do it either while I was parking, but if I didn't, I wouldn't get the car straight. This was the first and only time I ever touched someone else's car when parking, and that's just because there really wasn't anywhere else to park. The beach is a very crowded place on weekends, and the place I parked was already kind of far from where I needed to go.
I guess every person is entitled to their own opinion...
Edit: my car is brand new. I can still smell the "new car" air inside of it. I've had it for about 3 or 4 months, although I've had my driver's license for a lot longer.
Oh, really? Let's see which features it comes with, built-in, without installing anything:
- Mouse gestures
- Voice recognition for commands and navigation
- Face gestures
- Turbo pages compression (up to 90%)
- Opera link for synchronizing all your Opera browsers on all operating systems
- Speed dial
- E-mail client
- Torrent client
- RSS client
- Widgets support, including Speed Dial widgets
- Extensions support
- Private windows, private tabs
- Password saving
- Download manager with extended options
- Restore closed tabs
- Notes application integrated
- Hardware acceleration
- Opera Unite server, can be used for almost anything including hosting, ftp, web server, sharing etc
- Opera Dragonfly for developers (inspect pages, elements, edit source code and see the changes in real time, etc)
- Source code validator
- Content blocker and filtering
- Themes support for real time theme changing (one click and the theme is instantly changed; no restarting the browser!)
- Real customizing of the browser. Change everything you want. Customize every button, every bar, on every area of the screen. Remove what you don't want, add what you want, create your own tabs
That's just the first things that came to my mind; there is a lot more to it.
I can't imagine what you would have said if it actually didn't have features.
Let's put it simply: Opera invented tabs. Opera invented tab stacking. Opera invented many of the features you are using on your browser right now. This, sir, is real innovation.
Edit: All of that in a small, 9,9MB quick installer. Oh, just one last thing: it doesn't actually need to be installed to work, either.
Nope. I actually parked there by myself. I started getting the car into the parking spot very close (read: not touching, but few centimeters of distance) to the car on the front so I could get it as straight and as close to the sidewalk as possible, and I managed just that.
Yes, I'm the middle car.
I didn't say "without touching", but I was extremely careful not to actually MOVE or bump any of the other two cars: both of them stayed just where they were before I started parking.
At first I didn't even touch any of the cars, until I started straightening my car. When I got to the point I couldn't move without touching them (very straight), I just went forward and backwards very slowly, just enough to slightly touch (not bump!), and then the other way around until I fit the car there. In fact, that wouldn't even count as "bumping". And as you can see on the photo (click for full resolution), there is absolutely no damage to any of the cars (not even the smallest scratching or anything).
You can clearly see that I have not moved or bumped any of the cars because of the distance my car is from them (about 1cm on front, and 2cm on the back). If I had bumped them, they would be further away. I even took care not to keep the cars "pressing" each other and leave the gaps as you can see. I was pretty fast at turning the wheel (hydraulic steering wheel) but very slow to move forwards and backwards, in order not to cause any damage.
I'm a very careful driver, and I hate it when somebody damages my car so I wouldn't want to do it to someone else's. Also, I wouldn't want to damage my car.
I'm usually quite more careful with other people's than mine.
Ever found a parking spot so tight people would say "I dare you get your car in there!"?
Have you parked somewhere really tight and you want to show other people your prowess?
If you said yes to any of the above questions, this is the thread for you. You can also post a comment about the parking (recommended) so other people have some idea about what you have done.
Note: this is not the "somebody got my car stuck on the parking lot" thread! Only post images of parking spots where you have put your car there by yourself!
I'll start. Here's mine:
It was a sunny Saturday, I had been looking for a parking spot for 20 minutes already, when I got into a street close to the beach and I found this. There were 2 cars behind me, but when I saw the spot, I immediately thought: "that's it. I'm parking my car here". I quickly got the car inside the spot so the 2 cars behind me could easily pass, and then started maneuvering. After about 3 or 4 minutes turning the wheel all the way to the left/right, I got it there and could finally go to the beach.
