Quote from KiiT1337 :Weight made the butt of the car feel better, but that update on the cluster with some fake cluster, idk, imo doesnt fit.

Edit: Forgot to say that hakodesh kit light and tail light for fxo could be suitable for it.

Edit2: Im skinning car to be used as a Police Unit, Trying to replicate my own version i've made in another mod.
Found few issues on wireframe mapping.

https://prnt.sc/uRmR4X0LnV1p (Example i told)

https://prnt.sc/BCVqQ31bTDK4 (This thing in the mirrors, both doing the same projection from the whole skin)

https://prnt.sc/XcEtcJG5lwqE (These pieces on the mapping are messing on the spoiler)

I'll fix the skin issues later today, and those light textures are really ugly, I'll do my own textures at one point

Quote from KiiT1337 :Brother found a bug on the fxo Dashboard, while using RHD setup, blinkers are mirrored.

Also i have a better sounding "vtek" for that baby. just dm me and i'll send you the archive.

cheers, i'll have that fixed.
and this engine isn't "vtek", it's a gt86 boxer 4, not an inline 4.

Quote from michal 1279 :That's exactly what new players will do with whole game if they encounter such "quality" tracks when they try out the game - rate LFS badly and never use it anymore. Yup, simple...

I agree with versiu on this one. You're underestimating the abilities of what LFS players are able to do. New players wont rate LFS badly because of crappy user-made track mods. They'll skip over them and go to a better one. The good mods will filter themselves out, same as how it's happening with car mods right now. Mod support is only 7 months old now, and we're already seeing very high quality mods, even though this system is unknown to most people. And it's strange seeing this position from you Michal, seeing as you're one of the first adopters of the mod system. But I digress, track mods aren't the focus right now, especially for the developer team. I'd rather see the new graphics system and physics system implemented rather than see Scawen get distracted by something else.

Quote from [OD :Jardim;2002012"]You should at least give it the 1270kg weight from the Type S Zero. would give this car the edge it needs against more powerful rivals.

you're right, i might have miscalculated the weight as being dry, and took the curb weight numbers instead, so its heavier than it needs to be with fuel and driver. altough im hesitant to change the weight as it competes quite fairly against the TBO class cars; i'd rather give the car a small handicap for it to be competetitive instead of it having an edge

Breaking off parts off subobjects should be possible as well, not only doing it from the main object. Also merging subobjects between them

Quote from Ibtasim6781 :Quick question as I saw something weird:
According to the mod's description it has 1997 specs so shouldn't it have 6 gears?

The gear ratios are exactly those from the 91-94 NSX-R, felt it's a good match with the whole package, dont think 6th gear is really necessary, and the RB4 gear shifter I used is only 5-speed Big grin

Quote from Eclipsed :Saw the car driving on track - from distance you can't see windows, looks like a pickup. Big grin I assume you should darken the windows from outside.

made the windows a bit less transparent, let me know if its any better.

Quote from lfsrm :Probably very fun to drive just by the look of it, can't wait to try it!

I think the dirt alpha that you used on the front window needs to be toned down a little bit.

I have to agree, perhaps adding wiper marks would give it some nice detail?

Quote from Scawen :Thanks for the suggestion. I've done what you said, but also made the vertical gaps match the old right-side buttons.

Quite nicely that automatically aligned 3 right-side buttons with one calendar box.

Also I've centrally aligned license button with the lowest calendar box (and the bottom line of the logo matches the top of that button).

this is it right here, great addition, thank you for the great work scawen Smile

Quote from MandulAA :*short design idea*

I wonder if the background (opaque black rounded rectangle) behind the events could be extended below the logos themselves? Something like the mashup I created and attached.

For the logos which do not fill the 16:9 frame with content (therefore can play with transparent parts around them), they look less "floating around" with the background behind them, therefore better, more attached to the event infos in my opinion. The middle poster-like logo of the RX champ looks worse but acceptable, though I would like to see events using their custom sized logos, and not going for filling the 16:9 frame with content at all costs. The third event on my mashup uses the sole RX logo, with a consistent width (like the fox friday logo).

this does look better

Quote from Scawen :Thanks for the feedback.

It can now get the images and information from the internet and Victor is working on the script that gathers the information to send to LFS.

For now I'm still using fake information, and here's the progress. I still need to do the live broadcast link.

For anyone who runs a series, if you haven't already, I recommend you add a series(league) or season logo. You'll soon be able to add event logos but it will use the season logo if there is no event logo. For example, I think the MRc RX Championship doesn't have a logo.

EDIT: Changed this paragraph about the image as Victor gave me more info:
The image can be png or jpg and must be a 16:9 image with size 672x378.
The usual png vs jpg applies:
- If it contains photo or screenshot, should be jpg for good compression.
- If it has more flat colours png may be a good choice.
- Transparency is allowed (must be png in this case).

I disagree with FIZ, compared to what you started with, this is a major improvement, and having a separate menu for the events calendar would prove the effort null. Only thing I'd change is the starts in "6 minutes" text should be red instead of green.

Quote from Scawen :For the idea of having a calendar shown on the entry screen of LFS, here's a first version of that.
It can be changed, I'm posting it to see what you think.

Currently "event name" and "more info" are intended as links to an event page in the leagues section.
The "Server" name takes you to "Join Specific Host".

this looks great! perhaps a small timer that shows how many hours are left until the event starts if the event is in the same day would round it off perfectly? red font if less than half an hour Big grin

the mod system has only been launched a few months ago, within a framework nobody was familiar with. the fact that we even have a handful of actually good well-rounded mods is surprising.
nobody's forcing you to drive the low quality mods, but everyone has to start somewhere.

i too started experimenting in the editor by messing around with the fxo, then i tried some low-poly low-hp car to get more familiar with how to import a 3rd-party mesh, and then i allowed myself to actually get on a more serious project.

low-quality mods are inevitable, but without those low-quality mods we would never get proper high quality mods; you have some very high standards for no reason. until we'll get some mods on your expectation level, nobody's stopping you from driving the same cars you've been driving for 20 years arleady.

and quick note, of course xfg feels much more comfortable to drive than the swift, you've driven it for years at hand.
