Nice one Scawen! Hopefully new tyre physics or content shouldn't be long off now all these tasks are out of the way. Your work is really appreciated!

Perhaps Victor ought to update the home page image from Patch Z to 0.6B

I love updates! Hopefully once this official patch has been released some information about the new content will come to light.

Quote from Storm_Cloud :You mean like a license?

If he had a license there'd be an "S2 Licensed" tag on his account, foolish kid

Northeners?

I can see if LFS were to hit gold status it'd be a very polished game, thanks a bunch Scavier

Just duplicate the dragstrip to make it 3 or 4 miles long, that'd do everyone fine. It'd be good for testing tweaked cars, too.

Use this method of accel/braking about 50/50, other times I just use left click to accell, right click to brake. It's very handy on cruise servers or on servers where tuning tweaks are enabled so you're not delivering the full engine power immediatley.

Completley agree.

A van version of the FXO. Similar to the Vauxhall Astra van.

Wow are these secret roads on South City (you need to jump a over a few barriers, but they are working roads) new, never seen them before.

As do I, I've been looking forward to this feature for some time, even before it was announced

Quote from speed1230 :Sadly iirc you can only drive freely on drivable areas so not all of the motorway will be drivable

I know, but since this would be possible it could be an idea for the developers to extend the track in the future.

Open configurations being the case it'd be cool to open that motorway section on South City up into a ring road, ultimate cruising server that'd be!

Obviously no game can be complete without a Jaguar XJ6 Sovereign with the 5.3l V12.

If Scawen were to just compile and release (and fix bugs) in the physics he has at the moment and releases them with the game (and obviously the Scirocco and Rockingham) he would probably satisfy most users here. There's no reason he can't go back and perfect his tyre physics later on after. It's a win-win situation then.

Nothing like an '86 Jaguar Sovereign.

That should be in the game, I don't care if it's a luxary saloon it's got a 5.3l V12, does that qualify? :P

Quote from Wilko868 :He's totally overlooked Bose's range of car stereos. Pricy, but PERFECT for audiophiles.

You are all of course forgetting he may indeed choose the default Volkswagen stereo's what come as stock. Of course it may spice the car up, having a customized one.
LFS Technical Points

This may not be deemed the correct forum but I'm interested in the mechanics behind the LFS game. I heard it was programmed in C or C++, and that the game engine is propriety. I was wondering if the graphics engine is also propriety?
Does LFS actually make money

I'm wondering if LFS actually generates enough for the developers, do they have side jobs or is LFS thier only source of income. If so how much would LFS generate for the developers?

I still think a mountainside desert track would be a pretty awesome track to have, like, it roughly circles around a mountain, it would be about the size of Aston.

It would look kinda like the mountain pass from this episode of Top Gear, it would be good also to have the railings on the side of the road unfixed so crashing into them would result in the car falling off the mountain, forcing the players to keep the car in control.

I assume such a feature would be included with a "nighttime" feature.

Gives me the error that some DLL is missing (dunno which one I uninstalled it afterwards) and I should reinstall the program.

Dosen't fix the problem.
