map the buttons as themselves in the profiler, then set them in the program's config file. I used buttons 4 and 5, aka the paddles on the wheel. The buttons are mapped to themselves as secondary commands, the primary commands are mapped to S and X for paddle shift cars.
here's my settings for G25, I use LFS at 720*
I was going to post the following in my previous post, but a sound of the turn signal turning off would be good. I have attached one I recorded from a North American van.
The file is in a .zip file, because the LFS Forums do not allow .wav files to be uploaded.
I don't find anything wrong with LFS' slow progress, Scawen is possibly working his butt off right now perfecting the physics calculation code, which had to be re-written. ever heard of the phrase, "Quality takes time."? The game gets better and better each day. Who cares about updates? most games never did updates as frequently as LFS.
I'm wondering, is it possible to run CSR and the RevLimiter by Tommy at the same time, with that script? I know that the programs use different OutGauge "modes", CSR uses mode 0 and the rev limiter uses mode 2.
I had a similar issue with my old LCD monitor for my desktop PC, it was 7 or 8 years old, giving it the occasional knock worked temporarily. I have noticed prior to the screen not turning on, I saw the backlight start fading occasionally. I may think the backlight is dead on your screen, but it's only 3 years old. Is there warranty of any sort on your laptop? I have a netbook from that company, and its warranty was 1 year.
I haven't had problems with my G25 over a period of what I think is 2 years, but I don't think $100 just for 4 more buttons, quieter FFB, and a reworked shifter is a bit too much in my opinion.
There is an option to choose what FFB device to use under the Axes/FFB section of the controls configuration in LFS. I have plugged in a secondary controller into my computer to demonstrate.
EDIT: maybe the Handbrake and accelerator pedal are conflicting with each other in a way. I never had this issue with any of the controllers I had.
I noticed something strange in LFS recently over the past couple of weeks, it's that the turning signals on the right side of any car have supposedly stopped working, as in not turning on when "8" is pressed, even with a macro-ed command, but it turns on when both left and right turning signals are supposed flash, by pressing the "9" button.
The number 8 however shows up fine when typing it in the chat box. I don't know that it would be worth to do a screenshot or film it.
I use GIMP to make my skins, and it is pretty powerful.
here are a few examples of mine I made for an event I participated in (with the same theme on each car), and the screenshots have an excessive amount of bloom. The skins are distorted in places, like the hood, as I did not feel like compensating for it, but it still looks good.
