Someone already made an FXO version as his first skin, it inspired me to make my own version of the same skin which I have not released yet, It has 1024 squared and 2048 squared.
Also, the way I make a metallic effect on a skin is by adding a little bit of "noise" to it, while putting the colour saturation to 0, the intensity should vary from 14 to 30 on a scale of 1 to 100, and of course put the coverage to 100%. I use basically a "free version" of Photoshop, Paint.NET. It works as well as the Photoshop that is at my school, which is a decent version.
I made a skin a while ago with this effect and with Paint.NET, here is the result:
I was inspired into making these new gloves because I have been using biking gloves on my G25 while driving. I have replicated my gloves (Canada flag), my brother's gloves (Black) and my father's gloves (Purple with leather palm padding)
The method I used was by taking a picture with my camera with flash on, on a white sketchbook. Anything that is only white and uses light should do, maybe scanning the gloves with a scanner should work well too.
I also took a picture of my hand to get the correct skin tone (for me at least..)
Images for the ingame versions are attached and comparing my glove to the virtual version. EDIT: I also forgot to mention the sketchbook I used.
Extract the archive to the data folder, as there is a glove texture file in the pic folder in addition to the dds folder.
EDIT Jan 27th 2009: Textures updated, Now they are more realistic on the thumb area.

I had problems sleeping this June - July, especially on my birthday. The main reason must of been that I did not get myself tired enough to go sleep, as I did not do exercise that week, as it was the summer holidays. If you can not go to sleep, take a jog around the block every few days, and do not play action-oriented games late at night (have been up until 5 AM on a few nights when I did...)
In my opinon, I would not use the phone at all in the car, or minimze the use of it. The human was not made to multitask, such as talking on the phone and driving. I have noticed this "problem" on talking on the phone, even with a hands free kit while "driving" on my G25 in LFS and other games I use my wheel a lot.
You need a program that can edit DDS files with alpha channel support to make things like the one above, I use a free program called Paint.NET for experimenting this phenomenon.
I achieved many things over 2008, One achievement is that I sucessfully ran a 10km race back at the last Sunday of October. Another achievement is I got into a team, (or clan) in LFS.
The gear indicator is blocked by the wheel mesh, turn off the dashboard wheel and driver off in "View" under the options menu. ...And yes this is quite an old thread. almost a year old .
