read somewhere (Sportauto?) that Porsche will run a turbo-4, no further info on the configuration tho. Going the inline route would (ignoring the 924, 944 etc.) be quite un-Porsche, and too similar to Audi and Volkwagen.
@ BlueFlame: you're probably right with the thingy on the test bed
could be a boxer-4 from the sound. There is something enginelike on the test stand at 0:28, looks too short for a inline 4, more like half a boxer (but could be a one-cylinder test apparatus)
and it was advertizing for a drift event (not a car show) oddly enough. Then again some media guy from the 24h Nür race had the same brilliant idea for a spot. Just add tits and bad SFX and people will love it .. they didn't
Apparently AC now gets full 900° from the DFGT, but I still can't drive. While the Shifter, clutch and everything works ok in the Control screen, I can get the car to move only by holding the right paddle (assigned to 'Upshift'), and only in 1st gear I guess.
Both are 'Button 5' on each respective wheel, but the correct one will light up in the Control screen if I press them.
edit: so, whatever button I assign to a gear on the Shifter will assign the same numbered button on the DFGT. All 6 are scattered around the wheel ( I went through the Wizard thingy several times)
posted it on the AC forum, lets see what those guys say (got same username over there)
just looking at this thread makes me want to have engine/drivetrain swaps in GT6.
From what I read in that thread GT5 works totaly fine with hybrid cars as long as you keep the numbers reasonable. And limiting use of those cars should be easy. Make it so that you need all the cars needed for the parts, to keep swaps special.
I'm more happy with them converting some Standard cars (Cizeta V16, Alpine) to premium and the inclusion of all 1200 cars from GT5 (at least could't find any missing by skimming through the car list).
As rumoured Polyphony gets new car models in complete CAD form from the amnufactures, but getting them ready for the game still takes a lot of time. http://us.gran-turismo.com/us/products/gt6/cars/
A 1.3 ( class limit is 1.4) cross flow with CIS from a 1.6, camshaft from 1.6, slightly higher compression and a chip modified for those things. We guestimate around 70-80 HP. The engine ran in last years car already, the chassis was just too beaten up.
Its fully welded by now from a certified welder. The whole cage is designed after a road legal bolt-in cage with a few pipes added (the bars around the driver seat and the triangulation at the drivers feet. Then again its for a car that won't exceed 100 kph and can't really hit anything track side except dirt walls.
technically not my car but that of four people, rallycross 1.3 Polo. Cage just spot welded at this point (its very grassroots, no regs for the cage, car just "has to have one" )
The NVidia press release that "leaked" the info was pretty much a simple fückup from the NVidia PR guy, he took a glance at the list of the most anticipated soon-to-be-released titles and GTA V was among them
I'm sure that there will be a PC release, but I don't expect it this year.
Got the NKPro & AC Techpreview kit for 4€ a few days ago.
Absolutly impressed. Even with keyboard it does feel right, and I love all the little details that make you feel that the devs really care about racing (the sound is great, love the gravel-bouncing-of tire-into-wheelwell sound you get after a trip in the gravel pit). And since it does have multi input device compatibility I'll have to get my wheel and shifter out again soon.
For a long time German was the language of science. Lots of scientist came from Germany and while whatever you write won't read or sound nice, you can be very precise, especially when it comes to new discoveries (guess compound nouns help). Scientist all over the world published there new stuff in German.
Don't worry, even we get a lot of stuff wrong on a daily basis. As long as you don't mess up the basic structure of a sentence you should be good .. then again you go to Bavaria, and us Northerns can't even understand those right
On your compound nouns: Its the last noun that decides its gender.
Donaudampfschifffahrtskapitän
Donau-dampfschifffahrts-kapitän, Kapitän is male, so is the whole word
