Just to add today my brother and his mate bought full leathers/boots and gloves today for thier bikes ready for summer. (bikes they havent even bought yet :really Atleast they wont be riding round in t-shirts and shorts
Leathers wont stop your legs getting crushed. And id say a jacket is more important first because if you fall you will put your arms out to break the fall, good elbow and shoulder pads will save you breaking your arms. Also dont forget the weather protection.
ED : But tristan is right in a perfect world if you have the money get the gear. Good clothing saved my life a few years back when i had a big crash. Still cant remember what happened, i just woke up in hospital.
Yep i agree with you, When i ride my bike i wear what i feel is appropriate. Id normaly wear jeans with a jacket. I have had big offs in jeans with big grazes as a result.
RST clothing is good quality and should cost more than it does id recomend them for gloves, AGV do a very good range of lids all different price ranges. If you feel you need boots/trousers id look at frank thomas gear.
Best bet is to go to a local motorcycle shop and see what they have, be on the look out for stuff thats on offer ethier because its last years models or one of the last in the shop. But be sure to buy a helmet that is the right size and clothing that is not baggy. Ask somone in the shop to help if your not sure what size to get.
I would also like to add that im a big GT fan, I have had every version (even the concept and motor bike one TT, I even have a new sealed version of GT1) But these games are a totally different to LFS different platform/market/budget so i would not try to compare them or say that any one of them is the be all and end all of racing games. I play LFS when i want to race and GT when i want to muck about with my mates.
I did'nt say you have not driven a real F1 car, but your suggesting that tiagolapa's logical statment is worth nothing because he has'nt driven a real F1 car. Which is just silly.
I think a "game" that calls itself the real driving simulator should'nt have any driving aids on a car that are not fitted to the real car. By all means have stability control on a bmw but not on a F1 car.
Are you saying that a real F1 car wont oversteer? Are you saying thats what a real F1 car is like to drive? throttle on or off, no corrections, no oversteer? Just looks boring to play to me
Watch that, I see no oversteer at all not even when going over curbs also (i cant find it now) i saw a video of the same F1 car going round an oval and the driver cut the corner went straight over the grass full throttle! This is a game not a simulator
