I'd just like to make a note that the human eye is flawed in that it can't see more than 20FPS or so, and although there's an apparent difference in smoothness between 20FPS and 50FPS, there's really nothing in it between 50FPS and anything above. I recall Harjun wanting to go to 100+FPS, there's no point. Just stop screwing with your notebook. What will you tell your dad when it fries?
Rubbish, season 1 of LOST was waaaay too dragged out.
Ooh, there's a hatch in the ground. Should we open it?... How do we open it? That's such a lame plot. Nothing really happened until season 2. If you can't see the plot in season 3, that's because you haven't payed attention/watched everything. Half way through season 2, the introduction was complete and stuff started getting properly interesting. I guess some people just WANT to watch soap operas though. I recommend Days of our Lives and The Bold and the Beautiful to you - my mom watches them, I nearly puke when I have to be around the TV at the time when it's on.
Worst summary of season 3. Ever.
A lot of islands around? - there's just one, why the hell not?
3 tribes of the others? Really? Where did you see tribes?
A whole city of camps? You mean the barracks? What the hell's wrong with that?
Yeah, it's a bit far-fetched, but it's science-fiction after all. It's all well justified too.
You just want something to watch while eating your popcorn? Yeah, then Heroes is better. LOST has much more emphasis on personality and characters, from a psychological point of view it's much more interesting.
Heroes is stupidly predictable and feels like a not-so-tacky soap opear tbh... from what I've seen anyway.
LOST is way awesome... better than sliced bread even. Seriously, season 3 is off the scale good. I don't know how anyone can dislike it, assuming they understand what's happened so far.
Looking forward to some Westhill updates...
So that's what now? - Kyoto getting some updates (according to an interview from about a year ago), South City getting some updates and Westhill getting some updates. Blackwood and Aston are already pretty much fine as it is. So that just leaves Fern Bay as the only lower quality track. ... and people complain Eric works slow, he's right on schedule if you ask me.
He's saying
school = food and
LFS = Ferrari
in his world. He can't afford a Ferrari if he gets food, just like you can't afford LFS if you pay for school. People always WANT something more and no-one's going to give it to them just because they want it - they have to earn it. Now do something to earn it - get a job, or do something for the community. Either that, or shut up. You aren't getting S2 for free.
Look up K-Lite Codec pack, that does the trick... though I get no sound with Media Player 10. K-Lite also (optionally) installs Media Player Classic and that plays it fine, sound and all.
I just have a suggestion for the forum that's a bit OT but doesn't deserve its own thread: is it possible to unite consecutive posts by the same user automatically? I know that's what the multiquote is for but many people don't see it.
The people who have actually paid for a license would prefer to see other features added though, not weeks spent on giving demo users more content. If you can't afford an S2 license, that's just tough. Hopefully one day you can afford one and enjoy it. Or you can do something helpful for the community and someone will buy you one - it's happened before. Until that day, don't expect any more content as the LFS demo already gives way too much and people play it for years before getting the full game.
StewartFisher, why did you have little respect for him before? I mean, at least up to this point, he has shown nothing but professionalism and quality driving.
Congrats! If anyone has a video of the race maybe they can just make a separate video with just the bits where they showed Norbi? I'd really like to see that, this sort of stuff doesn't get shown here in South Africa. Good luck for getting a seat for next year, hopefully, Norbi!
Mate, how old are you again? - Just out of curiosity. Because I recall something about you being ~15 last year. I'm fairly sure most grade 9 students know the "facts" that you recited in your first post. Saying them as something new is a bit annoying. Also, not long ago, they told you there were only positive numbers, negative numbers don't have roots and that Newton's laws are infallible. The point I'm trying to make is: research stuff properly before just reciting what someone told you.
I'm not denying that global warming is in fact happening, whether only as a local fluctuation or in general, nor that it is to some extent caused by humans. Nor that it's probably a bad thing. The extent of human influence is uncertain, so is how bad it actually is, and whether it is normal.
In today's world, a lot of people will have you believe something false for their own benefits, don't be gullible.
The trouble is that he's very keen to show progress on netBike, but nothing for netKar. Furthermore, he treats netKar like every other job... that's not the way Scawen does it - he enjoys coding LFS and does what he feels he would do best at any given time, working by his own schedule etc... and the passion he has for it can be seen in the results.
No, all S2 users a genuine. There's no way to get past LFS' online security and use it online without having payed and that graph only monitors online use.
