This is the primary reason I don't have a problem with the commentary. The videos he is making are trying to resemble a hot lap that would be put on a broadcast... I must admit that calling the video "hot lap insight" might not be the best idea, because some of the information is incorrect and it's lacking really detailed aspects that the driver would point out. However, I see broadcasts in America every day with just as poor quality of commentary.
On the video side of things, you really need to work on FPS. It was getting pretty choppy at times.
Not quite sure what your getting at here... The video you posted is basically all single car spins, and that's not the problem with this video. I want to make clear you understand that I know how great some of the drivers in this league are, but the constant crashing gives the appearance of poor racing. I understand the crashes were pointed out for excitement, but to much of a good thing can be a bad thing. In all seriousness though, do you think F1 is going to use a video like that for a season review?
With that being said, it's not over the top to the point it's a bad, repetitive movie. The video it self is rather nice and the angles were up there with some of the best. I personally really liked the usage of color effects and on boards in this one as well.
Yeah, there were so many crashes that it almost made the driver quality look poor. I don't know who else was in those races besides the big three, but there were some blatant crashes out there. Congrats to you three though, I'm sure your pace was unbelievable.
At first I was expecting something a little different, but I really liked that style of shooting. Makes it really easy to see whats happening on the track.
One thing you might also want to note... You start the video with a slow segment and transfer directly into another slow segment. Anytime you change the tempo of a video and you change it to another similar tempo, the second scene always looses interest because your viewer becomes board of the same tempo. I think leaving :25 - :49 out of the video, or removing the intro and leaving :25 - :49, would help the initial interest level the viewers get from the video. A side from that, a change in camera style once every 3 minutes would be nice.
Never seen or heard of that video ether... Using a duplicate song is not unoriginal. I don't recommend it, and in my case I'm not longer going to use the song. Unless your actually trying to match a video's music/camera angle combo, it's still an original work...
