That idea reminds me of some gaming chairs I have seen that have a sub strapped to the seat, so you can 'feel' more of the action in the game

So you are boycotting LFS as well? Saying software should be perfect before releasing it is ridiculous, nothing would ever be released.

I wouldn't want to ride on something like that where one programming glitch and it can smash you into the ground and kill you.

I don't get that on my G25 because I don't have the forces that high, but on my older formula force it would start oscillating like that if you let go while going straight

Well I finally got around to fixing it, it wasn't that hard to take apart and is pretty simple on the inside, there are 2 motors, a sealed gearbox, and one small pcb in the middle. There is a bundle of 5 wires going through the middle of the wheel(for the paddles and red buttons). These 5 wires are all together inside one covering I guess you could say. One of the wires(one from right paddle) had a break in the middle somehow. I couldn't see any pinches or anything in the main bundle so I'm not sure how that happened, but I could clearly tell that when moving/pulling on the wire it would go from connected to disconnected. I had to carefully remove the metal ends of the wire that plugs into the small connector and splice in another wire. It wasn't hard, but definitely not recommended if you aren't confident in your soldering/disassembly skills.

I have been racing a lot of road cars lately(using H shifter) but I went to race the f08 today only to find out that the upshift paddle on my g25 no longer responds. All of the other buttons work, I tried in game and in the control panel dialog, it sounds the same, the microswitch or whatever inside is clicking the same as the left paddle, but it simply doesnt see the button push from the computer, I tried unplugging everything and restarting the computer, still the same.

Has anyone seen something like this before? A button suddenly not working? Would it be wise to try and open it up and see if I can find the problem?

I am not exactly sure how to reproduce this, but I wa in a race and it was just starting before the light went green, so I was sitting in the grid. I wanted to leave, so I hit shift+s first then quickly selected spectate. After that in spectate mode it only showed the blue gradient background instead of being able to view the cars in the race(The lag meter, messages, esc menu all showed up as normal). I joined and then went back to spectate, still the same blue screen, left the server and came back, still unable to spectate, after closing down lfs and reopening and going back to the server spectate was back to normal. My guess is somehow the making you wait before rejoining from the pit right at the start somehow caused this? This was on fe2r on the STCC 2 server.

I hadn't seen this before either.

An external sound file for each car that anyone could tweak that could change how it sounds would be good I think, that way people could play with the fancy new sound system that is implemented. That way hundreds of people could find the best sounds instead of Scawen just trying to do it all himself.

Ah, I didn't realize what that button did and just happened to hit while try to get it into the right mode, now it's a little better, I guess the main thing is just the analog gauges and the map being really big when they don't need to be and the car being off the screen in the preview screen.

I did find out that spanning 2 monitors can get fairly disorienting as things in the center jump left and right a couple inches across the gap between the monitors.

Could you give some more information on merging the two screens into one large desktop? I can't seem to find how to do that. I tried searching around about horizontal spanning and couldn't find anything.

EDIT: Ah, found it in the catalyst center, it's called Stretch horizontally onto, had to right click on one of the icons, fairly unintuitive.

I wouldn't mind trying it out just to enjoy driving around Hawaii or wherever the game is located.

There will always be some people who complain, but the dev team knows they are doing a kickass job and there are tons of people enjoying their work.

Well I get bored at work, so I just thought it might be possible, I must have missed where it would be a compatible patch.
