I think this game supports demo users alot. And i mean, ALOT.
everyboddy here went tru the demo user phase, buying a license is not so hard if you really wanna get into the real thing.
even i could buy it (didnt had international credit card, had to workaround.)

So it does have paddle shifters... weird (but good to know) because all the videos/photos i saw never show people using it (i think the sequencial shift is too cool heh)

Well i see that in a serious race i will use the auto clutch and both feet to brake an throttle. And for training/fun i might use the clutch (with my old wheel's pedals.)

Seeing as my DFP may be coming 5 days from now, i see that i might use my old pedal set to try as a clutch. but it will be just for fun probably.

i spent alot of time considering the G25, the only drawback for me being the cost. (after comparing momo, DFP and G25 i finally made up my mind and ordered a DFP)

and now im used to use both feet to brake and accel.
the only drawback i see for the DFP is that, aparently it doesnt have the buttons behind the wheel to act as a shifter (forgot the name =/)

but hey, considering my current wheel, even a Snes joystick is better...

EDIT: i meant to say that, for use with single seaters, could help the immersivity and realism by having paddle shifters (thats it right?)

Is heel and toe doable? seeing as the DFP has only brake and accel pedals and a few minutes ago i tried to do it on my sucky old wheel (Genius speed wheel force feedback) and since im going to buy the DFP (and not the G25 because atm im short on money and i wanna start slow).

it weird, since the brakes dont have any resistance and you dont have a clutch pedal to hold your left foot. i still do better leftf oot on brake and right foot on accel.

DFP owners, do you heel n toe with its default pedals?
do you brake with the left foot or you use the right one for brake and accel? (since if there were clutch you wouçd be doing it)

well in LFS theres no wav file, the engine sound is sintethised (is it right?) so you get ingame and press shift+A to work the wounds.

What do you mean by offlie damage equal to online? it is.
The difference is that online there is lag. as everyboddy kow, weird things happen when lag occurs (you crash in a car that actually is not there =) )
i agree there should be one server for each car/ combo..

and yeah, im playing alot on CTRA but i find it almost impossible to get pass on t1 due to crashes. and due to my amazing rig (20 ppl on grid equals to 12 fps)

One of the reasons why not to add any licensed car.

I don't think ''Deformation'' is the issue. As you can see, LFS is in alpha stage and the damage atm is just a placeholder for something bigger...
i think when they put the aero thingy it might not work properly with custom models and... you know... they dont want another rFactor (bad Mods, if you customize with LFSTweak and custom models you get yourself a brand new car... i dont hink thats intended...)

i played alot with mouse before getting a placeholder wheel till my G25 comes, so i might help:

cara, seguinte: o basico pra se jogar com mouse é deixar o mouse lento pra ter bastante precisão. nao bota linearidade nada.
eu sempre joguei com o acelerador no botão esquerdo do mouse, freio no direito, subir marcha ''A'' e descer marcha ''Z''.
basicamente é isso, se tive mais alguma duvida posta ai q eu tento ajuda ou traduzo pra eles ajudarem, abraçow

What they could do is to set 2 separate options for button frequency. like theres a button frequency that ranges from 0.0 to 4.0, they could just divide this option in 2 other ones: On press Button Frequency On Release Button Frequency that means when acceleratin (pressing) you can set a slow frequency for more control, and a high frequency for when its released, that way the gas lifts faster and you shift your gear faster. i had this problem like 1 week ago but now... this is the secret... the big one... i bought a wheel.

you mean mechanically increase rotation i see... that might work.. by the way my cousin told me that i could clean up INSIDE the pot to maybe increase its performance (back to factory spec offcourse) how do you open it? (By the way im using pieces of paper to reduce space between mechanical attached parts so there wont be no mechanical lag - dont know how to say it - thats just funny heh, but it increased the wheels performance alot!!) thanks in advance, i might check some sprockets..

Thanks for the info. the rotation limiter is removable (easily) i heard domewhere that increasing the pot's resitence value could change the wheel's precision (or maybe the update frequence) ?

So i got this Genius Speed Wheel Force Feedback (the black with red rubber) 270 degrees rotation. Im wondering if i can change the potenciometer to increase the rotation of the wheel and maybe the precision??? ( i know this wheel uses a 270 degree 100k ohm pot) i could'nt find the pot Watts i was wondering if someone knows...? and before anyone says ''get G25" yeah thats my dream, but atm i dont have the money to invest (this month and next month's are directed to bills.. 100% of it =D) could this work? PS: increasing resistence would mean more or less precision? (eletronics? i know like, something)
