a better version of the previous stable set. good trail braking and also good on the power out of the corner. the wear is nice and it drives better as the rears get hot Smile

edit: i am using 571 degrees in the wingman profiler

i'm not sure which one i want to continue with.

the first one is stable but slow. the second one is quicker but wants to kill you

in one of the older versions of lfs the setup for the XRT was really epic (in the training module)

sounds like the loose potentiometer problem (that i'm having again )

you can see in post #22 here:
http://www.simracers4life.com/index.php?topic=787.15

fix is to glue something somewhere so there is no wiggle in the potentiometer that detects left-right.

i found some good fzr as3 sets online and made something in between those and what i am working on. this version uses a lot less wing and is quite a bit quicker and more agile.

"Not a possibilty because LFS must still work on XP"

So maybe I read to much into this I guess. And sorry for the off topic, going to bed now

yes as i said it depends what you mean by "moving forward". please make a list of things lfs can't do because it supports xp.

i helped you a bit with my blur suggestion you can add bloom too maybe!

Quote from aaltomar :I remember you saying something along the lines that there are still a lot of XP users and we can't go forward because of this

you are really stretching to define "going forward".

yes ok LFS has no blur effect tho...

They follow their own path's and you have to deal with it.

or else you follow the path of those other 90%

v4. always wants to turn in but burns the rears in exchange. can still handle when hot without having to slow down too much.

Quote from Matrixi :Whatever happened between some of the previous test patches (early ones worked fine) and the 0.6G final version broke Wine support.

for the first time reading something like this ^^ i have no suspicion at all that wine support was broken on purpose

unfortunately i think with broken things on linux you either maintain both sides of the code yourself or have a lot of patience.

v3. seems better than the previous versions when the tires are hot. i don't know if that means it's possible to make the tires last

Quote from EeekiE :In my own line of work, it's always a case of being too busy chopping the wood to sharpen the axe. It must be nice having complete control with little compromise.

indeed, while working as a programmer for 10 years the thought often came "why is this damn axe so dull"

you're right that it's nice to have complete control, however there is a price to pay. it's expensive to do things your own way and you have to trust in yourself that the investment you're making will pay off some day.

Seems like a nice tool, but this ^ is wrong in many ways....

100% agree except to ask this question: how many damn decimal places does your program output?

traxxion i seem to have misplaced some of my notes. would it be unethical for me to look at my own files to recover the fine print?

of course suggesting the honor system is a little bit silly on my part.

because of the air acceleration bug or maybe i'm too sim oriented, staying off the gas in the air seems like not cheating

< 5:30 is surely possible even without cheating
