Of course we all can twist the results back and forth for what suites us best ...
What the poll says is that multiclass comes before single class racing, nothing more. Of course you could say that the poll really didn't matter since the admins of MoE was into multiclass from the start, before the poll was made, and I must say I agree upon that.
The majority of the admins choose the restricted GTR be course of safety reasons among others after some debate while the poll was going on.
It's nothing unfair to restrict the GT1 cars in order to get better racing over all imo.
From what I remember the admins in MoE discussed a limited GT1 class from the first start. Also they stated MoE is turning into multiclass league. A limitation could hardly be fresh news now.
No need to start the single class discussion again uh?
First post updated with air restriction for the GT2 class. Deadline for the chosen car will be 4 days before the first race. After that the chosen car stands the season out.
Not ALL the "old" teams will choose GT1. We consider it and have registered one car in each class.
Since MoE now clearly have given that this league is a multiclass league it have to be that for real as well. A competition with 5 teams in GT2 is not a good idea, therefor a restriction in GT1 class teams is needed.
But I guess the fuzz about the restrictions scares some GT2 "wannabee" team away. Once that is clear prolly more teams will choose it.
EDIT: Damn what a stupid keypad I have. First sentence changed to GT1 ....
Yes yes, we also know it's the General LFS Discussion forum ...
In short: As the name says, this is a multi class racing event. The schedule follow the MoE season, but the event is not a part of MoE and is for single cars (although sharing a car isn't forbidden).
Race days are Wednesdays and length around 1.5 hour.
Classes: GT1 (GTR class) and GT2 (air restricted GTR's with 24 - 33% depending on what car). We are open for suggestions for another class.

News this year:
(at least) Two class racing: GT1 and GT2 and if there is some interest we would like to have a third class, XFR/UFR or TBO is the closest in mind. Change of race day: Two big leagues is running, MoE and BOTT. Our goal is to get the opportunity to regular MoE drivers for some good racing in single cars and to give "ordinary" drivers an opportunity to race endurance without any engagement of teams.
I might point out it's not forbidden to share a car if you want to.
For the next season we have decided to run on another day. This is be course we want to follow the tracks for the MoE races. The Saturday before this league would have been perfect to run the LFS LeMans League. Unfortunately another big league runs these Saturdays, Battle Of The Teams, BOTT.
As we see it it's a good idea to run on the Wednesday bore the MoE league. Sundays seem to be a bad day to squeze in another legue.
That gives the regular MoE drivers a chance to get a good practice run and others a good opportunity to test endurance racing for a single car without being engaged in a team.
