In my opinion, you were both slightly at fault. DerDude, you could have been more patient coming out of the chicane. Marsh, you could have made it alot easier for him to pass, and perhaps given him the racing line at the end of the straight.
The only good thing about my race was the lag lap. I managed to go from last to 3rd. On the first lap of the real race I went into the back of Storm_Cloud at Turn 3. Again, I'm very sorry.
We both got stuck in the gravel and had to telepit. The front three lapped me, and was far behind everyone else. Within a few laps I was near the rest and was overtaking for position and I finished 5th. I was hoping to have a fight with Thor, I noticed we had similar lap times by comparing the split times between us, after my pitstop I was waiting and waiting for him to make a stop, but he never did, I must have missed it because Jack's many pitstops. Suprisingly the crash with Storm_Cloud was my only crash.

I'd like to see where you saw an ITEK member say "I am/we are the best". We always set realistic targets, beating MG was one of them. I am not saying MG are rubbish, just most, in not all of the ITEK members have alot more experience than your team.
If you have an issue with one of the ITEK members or the whole team, you know where to contact us privately, there is no need to turn this thread into an arguement.
I was in ITEK until yesterday, and in all honesty, I didn't expect the team to close. I don't understand how you know this when your only contact with anyone through ITEK was in the competition thread.

I'm sad to see ITEK go, but I understand Keith's decision. For along time the forum was dying, the public area was mainly kept alive by the MG guys. Very few people were racing too due to real life commitments, for sometime I wasn't racing either.

The XFR is a great car, you should stick to it. You need to come up with better tracks though... Blackwood rev, meh. I doubt I will be in this one.
I vote for Aston National in the XFR. Franky actually said yes to that combo a few days ago, he seems to have forgotten about that... again.:rolleyes:
They're far from the best team, I will admit they were the best team at Old Trafford yesterday though. You can probably imagine how frustrated I was watching the match yesterday, being a Man Utd fan. They were terrible, couldn't gain possesion, and when they did, gave it away far too cheaply.
The only player that really did well for United, was Kuszczak. His penalty save (which shouldn't have been a penalty, in my opinion) was superb, and he made a few other brilliant reaction saves too. Rooney wasn't switched on. Ronaldo, as usual was useless, selfish and couldn't hold onto the ball. And our defence didn't look Premiership worthy, other than a few important challenges, they were too clumsy, far too many mistakes due to lack of communication, Arsenal should have won by more.

That was a disaster. On lap 6 I got my line a little wrong going under the bridge and ended up clipping the curb on the exit while going sideways, which ended up rolling, many times. My car was in a real mess after that, but it was still good to drive, I even managed to set the fasted time with it.
I lost two places, eventually I gained one back, but couldn't catch upto Vain. He was driving very fast and consistent, it's a shame he didn't manage to complete the race.
I managed to keep my battered car going until about lap 22, after a few too many knocks it decided to stop turning so I had to pit. All was going well until lap 39 where I pushed a little too hard coming out of the last turn and clattered the barrier, almost making it roll again. The suspension was completly nackered this time, so I had to make my final stop straight away, which was rather lucky as I intended to make a pitstop a lap or two later on.
Overall it was a dull race, I got into several fights, but none of them lasted very long. It's beyond me how I managed to finish 2nd, I guess alot of people had a much worse race than I did...
Hats off to the backmarkers, didn't have any problems with them (apart from Franky's wrecking atempt near the end
), and congrats to Three Jump.
