Funny, most people vote for wind, but when it's actually on, everybody is complaining. I like wind, but it's too unrealistic at the moment. But it's nice to drive when it's on low.

It would be nice if the wind didn't change direction so much, when you restart a race. IRL wind is most of the time coming from one direction. In the UK/Northern Europe it's southwest mostly. Also, high wind is usually too extreme.

When you're tyres are red hot after 3 laps, it doesn't mean they are worn. Try R2, if it doesn't get much higher then 100 degrees on the inside after a few laps, they should be fine for long races.

I'm not. I brake as straight as possible. Traibraking doesn't go easily anymore. It wants to oversteer if you turn in while braking. Good thing. So I tried to brake as straight as possible.

1.13.11 here. With basicly Lefty's set, only more wings and wheellock.

Come on people! It's gonna be fun! Especially with the new patch. The FO8 can still flatshift, and it's slightly more agressive, really nice to drive! It also seems there's a little less dirty air, so more close racing aswell!

I don't agree. I think it adds a lot to the game. Some time ago I had a WR at Aston GT, Fo8. Then, because there was a league race running there Hawku beat that wr with 2 tenths or so, with him being the first one into 2:17. Then I was faster again, then he.. Eventually we both uploaded 5 hotlaps or so. In the end he did a 2:17.00. And finally I did a 2:16.99.

So it's cool.. Just offline fighting for 'pole'. :P

One of the two great tracks on the CD, the rest isn't this good. But this is just a brilliant track.

Very nice coverage. Cool camera movements. Shame of the 50 Hz tone tho. :P

Well.. You should use it, that's a good thing. But do it only once or twice, that way it stays interesting.

Nope, I recorded the original (default) sound and copied that 10 times. I gave them all a little different starting point, so you get small differences, making it sound fatter. And I also used effects on the seperate tracks, like flanger, chorus, etc. I found some sound clips of F3 cars coming by, and you could clearly hear the flanging effect. Probably because of the phase differences in the recording. :P

And I also used some noise sounds and a subbass to give it a bit more power when the car comes by.

Yea, I removed that link. I tried to update it already, but I only got the same error.

Hello there!

The Formula V8 Racing Event is coming up! Since the Racing Series didn't work as wanted, it's time for a single event! Or maybe even more in the future. We will see...

The track will be Aston Grand Prix. Date and time are still not set. To promote this event there is a small teaser. It's almost a minute long. I didn't use any music, only sound effects. All FX, recording and editting (montage) is done by me.

Ok, it looks like the league is pretty much dead, and it's not coming to back alive.

I learned a lot from it, and I'll be more carefull asking for subsections next time.. So you can remove the Formula V8 Racing Series section. Sorry..

Maybe the "gearbox" is set to shifter. Go to options > controls and set it to sequential. Or maybe the other way around..
