I don't get that. I have no problems with shifting what so-ever. Okay, you can't flatshift all the way to 6th gear, so what? Just lift off the throttle a tiny bit and its fine. The range is everywhere between 1% and 99% throttle. Timing is the most important thing here. Just practise it a little and it should be fine..
Oh that's very easy to avoid. Just life slightly when shifting. With 0% throttle it doesn't shift, and with 100% it doesn't. With everything in between it works like a charm.
Well, it's not really close to the FOX. And it's not really easy to drive either. It's about 4/5 seconds per lap faster then the FOX. At Westhill I did 1.29 low with the FO8. The FOX drivers did only 1.35. Although it should be possible to do 1.34 low consistantly, that's still 5 seconds. And I think that's fine.
It's quite challenging if you make an on-the-edge setup, but on tracks like Aston it's too slow. Fern Bay is pretty cool tho. Removing the weight would make it a little harder and faster. But making it faster wouldn't attract more/faster racers. It's still the system itself that keeps a lot of the fast guys away.
And there's a difference between electronic music and dance (Stockhausen vs Underworld...? ) And where's funk/soul? I won't vote since it's not possible to vote for more then one genre. Every genre has his best music.
I think it's fine as it is, although I don't really like the FJR. Ristricting the best car in LFS.. That's like.. buying great speakers and putting in earplugs.
Anyway, I just wish the SS2 server will be more crowded soon. Everytime I look it's empty or just 1 person in it. :/
I'm posting it here, because this is where the people look about skins. In the leagues and events section I posted about a FBM race to win a helmet! Please take a look here:
Hehe, nice stuff! Would be cool if it had at least 24 gears.. :P
I tried the setup, great fun! Altough it wasn't really in tune with my penny whistle (also has 7 notes, and 15 if you over-blow it), didn't really tune well. So editted it a bit, if you don't mind. 7th gear is middle C. 1st gear is B3.
I recorded the C and used it in my sequencer, works ok to make harmony's and stuff. Sound a little noisy and dirty, but it's ok. A bit like an organ. :P
Hmm, I wonder, if you make the final drive ratio half the value it is now, will it be an octave lower? In that case you could get more tones with more cars. 3 cars = 3 octaves. :P
One week ago the Masters of Endurance 24 hours of Aston Grand Prix started. Specially for that event I made a nice helmet for myself. But now I'm using my 'old' helmet again. Since I can't use two helmets at the same time I want to give this special helmet away!
I want to do this by organising a small event. The winner gets the helmet. The tree colours (blue, white, red) on the side will be changed to the winners taste.
The race will be held in the Formula BMW (FBM)!
- Saturday February 2nd at 20:00 CET (19:00 GMT)
- Track will be Fern Bay Gold
- Qual will be 5 min
- Race will be 20 laps
- Anyone can sign-up!
Server and password will be sent by PM at the day of the race (or day before).
Just post an "I'm in!" or something so I can write you down in the list.
So far there's room for 20 people, but if there's enough animo I'll try to make it more.
I'd like to congratulate Core GT2 and n!Faculty GT1! I didn't see much from the GT2 winner, but I had no problems with you guys, not that I can remember. :P
n!Faculty just did a great job, all drivers were very very good, and they were sooo consistant. Really nice job.
The problem was that there was a misunderstanding where to start in the top 5 somewhere.
I didn't get it either, and a lot of thing were not right, but ah well..
I only still need to do the visor. Does anybody know what font the "masters of endurance" sunstrip is? Or does anybody have a big (not bend) version of it?
I made a small change in the rules. During qualifying it is allowed to chat, and also to block messages now. During race it's not allowed to chat or block messages.
Well, the FZR seemed slightly faster. But, remember this is an FZR track. Also, the XRR and FZR both had to stop once in this race. In the 24 hours, the XRR will have to stop less then the FZR.
And, while I was racing I noticed the XRRs didn't have any clutch heat. One little mistake in the FZR and the clutch is overheated.
In all honesty, I think Chris can do 2.38 mid in the XRR aswell. It's funny, the Merc guys have been practising for weeks, Chris drives in the race for the first time and is such a lot faster? I doubt so..
BTW, I did a 1.51.59. But the best I could possibly get is 2.39.8? Am I being so slow in the last sector?
