^ Borrowed a Banshee and pulled up to the lights with a Bullet in the other lane. Burned out and holy crap that Bullet is fast. That makes me want to get the Adder and dare anyone to beat me. I just hope GTAO won't be full of Adders mind. I'm finding Franklin my fave character so far strangely, just hanging around his hood and watching everything going on is relaxing, though so is just going for a walk around Rockford Hills as Mikey, wander down to a coffee place or Vespucci Beach and just people gaze. Fun times.

As for the cops, started at the MZ Med Center andpunched a guy who cut me off in traffic. One star. Shot a guy to get his SUV. Two stars. Hiding in bushes and watching the cops go past? Priceless.

EDIT: Oh yeah. I now wound up with a Rhino thanks to shenanigans on the military base. Amazingly they weren't happy with one being borrowed. Cops won't be a problem now. It's the guys with AT stuff I'm worried about. Which is why I'm currently headed up Mt Chilliad with it. Those bikes at the top? Nah, not a problem

Saw it on reddit.

Tried it. Died.

Can you unattach attachments on weapons? I like having a silencer but given how crappy the reticule is....I was using the muzzle flash as an indicator I had actually fired.

It was, thank you.

Taxi missions are fun and a nice way to explore. Though I hate the taxi liveries. I wanna go repaint them

Slight spoiler but a certain permanent car vanishes after a mission after being taken by somebody.

Does it ever return? If not how to get a new default car? I kinda liked that car a lot.

EDIT:
Quote from speed1230 :The Elegy is part of linking your account to your Social Club Account. It's very handy, as you can spawn it in any garage so I could easily just pop to a garage and spawn one. Plus, unlimited spawning

Okay, I got my PSN linked already but no elegy GT. What did I do wrong? I sorta want that Elegy GT

Quote from dawesdust_12 :I still think it looks retarded for any car to use the Dale Earnhardt #3. It's that the font with #3 is so iconic, that it looks really weird on random cars. They should pick a different number font.

No.

Going by that logic, they can't use Petty's 43. Which they did circa 1993 onwards first with Rick Wilson and had it on the back of Kyle's pole winning 44 at Daytona.

The #3 is a number. Dale also drove the 2 and 15. Where's the outcry about anyone using those? He drove the #3 in ARCA. That number's used by a full time driver.

Frack I need a new HDD then but the disc version's an 8gb install isn't it or is that X360?

Quote from DeKo :All I would say is, if you're getting this game on PS3, buy it from the PS Store and download it. The noise of my Blu-Ray drive constantly reading is making me go insane.

Price in £ and size in GB please?

Quote from Bose321 :The physics were not that different, and certainly not 'crap' by any means in the vanilla game IMO.

I hope GTA V will keep some of the, what I think, realistic handling whilst keeping it fun. I think GTAIV did that spot on. But like I said, GTA V seems to be a more fast-paced game, so I doubt it. I did see a lot of rehashed cars though. Seems like they got that concept from Gran Turismo.

Didn't say it was crap though, I said EFLC improved it. IV's vanilla physics were good...bikes aside mind, I have no idea what happened there, and TLAD fixed the bikes and TBOGT tweaked the whole physics set to make it better...

But in no way was IV's default physics crap howeer. It was good, it gave a sensation of driving a car as opposed to the PS2 games where it was like pushing a toy car around.

Quote from dawesdust_12 :Except the best part of EFLC was the car physics!

Fixed for you.

EFLC tweaked the physics and made the bikes handle better though.

I'd rather have a IV/EFLC-type physics system WITHOUT a silly arbitary limit that dictates how a car turns. If I'm going 100 and turn left, I don't want the car to magically slide left around a corner because I maxed out a skill.

I want the car to react how it should according to the forces acting on it.

EDIT: No the best bit of IV was the random screwing around with friends on MP on a voice chat program. The fun that can be had

Quote from Bose321 :Would be lovely on the PC, I can count the pixels on my screen.

Also, I am a little worried about the driving physics, they look kinda crap (read: arcade). Did anyone else notice this? It seems to be super grippy and no more fun bodyroll. Then again, this game looks a little more fast-paced.

Yes I noticed it and it looked like a mix of MCLA (awful low speed handling) and GTA III to SA era (over responsive controls). I'm hoping they can patch in a steering sensitivity slider, though you watch R* won't deem it important enough to look at, or their idea of a 'fix' will be to push it toward even more arcade.

That's the one and only time arcade is justified. Okay so GTA was never a high end driving sim, but....

EDIT: Oh and yes I played MCLA through twice. Low speed handling on that sucked. Anything at high speed was okay, but low speed? Forget it. Medium speed? Don't go there.

Who and why?

Quote from Cornys :+1 there

Brad complained about being moved back in line in the spring Martinsville race last year after he nearly stopped to avoid the 24, 48, 15 spin. He didn't maintain yellow flag speed even, so of course he was moved behind those who flew by on the inside.

I didn't pay enough attention to see why he was moved back this time, but there probably was a good reason for it. I've never really seen NASCAR make a restart order mistake, but it is of course possible.

IIRC David Hoots told Brad's team the restart order several times, the team told Brad what David said, then Brad decided to STILL question it.

I'll dig out the radio transmissions from the video in a few, I don't believe Jayski saying Brad and his team didn't hear what NASCAR was telling them.

Got the transmissions as per the video here:

http://www.speedtv.com/video/n ... off-2361832125001/1#_vtop

David Hoots Give me that line up again Kyle, #2 and #34?

NASCAR Officials Channel #95, #2, #34, by the freeze

Hoots #2 to the inside, #34 to the outside

Joey Meier (#2 Spotter) #2 to the inside, they said. #34 to the outside, #2 to the bottom. #34 to the outside... per the freeze

Brad Kelselowski 10-4, we can talk about that one after the race, in the meantime let's go.

Sorry Jayski but you're full of crap

Brad challenges NASCAR at every call when things don't go his way though. Newman I can kind of get, since he did have Kurt's car land on him (then again he's got an engineering degree from Purdue), but why not put that engineering degree to use and go to NASCAR and offer to help, instead of laying into them, the track, the laws of physics and everything else?

Brad though....He needs to quit whining every time stuff don't go his way. Fox broke down the restart issues and proved him wrong. I'm all for drivers speaking their minds but Brad needs to STFU from time to time and not whine and bitch that things didn't go his way every time something goes wrong.

Brad's not running well enough on the track? He'll just bitch on Twitter about it after the race even if he drives his way to the front. Same thing if he gets caught up in a wreck, he'll just go to Twitter.

Danica to team: Why isn't Gilliland letting me by?

Gilliland to media: Danica, SHUT UP AND RACE

I'd side with DG on this one, much as I'm not a big fan of his, Danica was whining when he was racing her for position then whining when Ambrose got loose and into her. Okay, she's a rookie, but....

So he's doing community service then? I'm frantically racking my brains trying to remember who the decent V8 crew were back in the late 90s/early 00s.

I found a Channel 10 video of Indy at Surfers. That was...awful to say the least.

Eh?

Leigh Diffey is a good commentator, but better suited to sports cars, Brian Till is awful, Townsend is okay.

Problem is rather than go for somebody that actually knows Indy, NBC wanted a foreign voice. They ought to move Leigh down from lead spot to analysis, and put somebody in the lead spot who actually knows what they are on about, Just for the love of God, NO NEIL CROMPTON!
