I'm glad of that, since my iP LOVES to give me obscure ranges like 2.100.whatever.whatever.

Now. League Q, would they be okay with a total and utter n00b stinking up the field?

Quote from Bmxtwins :Ok, it is a game that has been licensed by developers (MGI & HASBRO) and is now owned by the community. You can LEGALLY get the game for free. A new mod is coming out next week to support 2012 stuff and reorganize the game for ease of use (it will have grand am prototypes, cup, etc which will all be updated), but the game can support 43 cars online in one field if the server can. It is low on system resources, but still looks great (if not as good as lfs). Texture updates, nice models, and mods allow the community to expand.

The races are on Sunday @ 7pm eastern for our league, but there are others including road courses (oh, we already have rockingham). It's not as realistic as iRacing, but it was the first game with 3d physics!

The community is tightly knit, everyone is mature and mostly everyone puts time in to practice. Sets are available for all tracks and it's great fun. It isnt like NR2k3 where there are millions of sights for one game.

Is that at themodsquad and Platinum G3? I loved G2 but couldn't get it to run right on Wn7

A good one.

Being blunt. He's ****ed.

What exactly does he hope to gain from fighting NASCAR in court, in the court of public opinion, he's already lost massively.

IMO....

The Jeff/Kyle thing is a product of the racing, Jeff wanted to move Kyle to get the position, he went and nudged him to move him, Kyle spun.

Oh and that new 2013 Dodge looks pretty amazing

Oh and Shootout having changes for next year. No title sponsor as yet....and they go back to the old format

EDIT:

Quote from NASCAR.com :
Shootout eligibility returns to its roots for 2013
Pole winners from 2012 and past event winners will make the fiield next year

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -- NASCAR released Sunday the eligibility requirements for the 2013 Shootout at Daytona, an announcement that signals a return to the fan-favorite preseason event's roots.

Next season's field will consist of 2012 Coors Light Pole winners and past Shootout winners who have attempted to qualify for at least one race during the 2012 season.

Eligibility rules for next season's annual non-points race mirror those from 1979-2008, and puts greater emphasis on each weekend's Sprint Cup Series qualifying session.

"Fans have expressed their desire to see this event return to its original eligibility rules," said Steve O'Donnell, NASCAR senior vice president of racing operations. "We listened and decided it would be best to return to the eligibility rules of years past, adding further meaning to pole qualifying for each Sprint Cup race."

This announcement comes prior to 2012's first qualifying session, adding intrigue to an already important event. Today's fastest qualifier, in addition to winning the pole for next Sunday's 54th annual Daytona 500, will also earn a spot in next year's Shootout. Two Daytona 500 starting positions will be locked in after today's qualifying session. The fastest two cars in qualifying will sit on the front row for The Great American Race.

Saturday night, Kyle Busch won his first Shootout at Daytona, locking up a spot in next year's field. Busch passed defending series champion Tony Stewart in the tri-oval, edging the three-time titlist by a margin of victory of .013 seconds -- the closest in Shootout history.

Last season, 18 different drivers won a pole.

Quote from cargame.nl :True...

So?

What exactly do you expect more then? Choose your words carefully

It's not unreasonable to expect a clean server that doesn't spam your screen by default is it?

Danica gets the #36 points, TBR have to qualify on time now....

Not happy about this to be honest, Danica's not ready for Cup level yet, she's being rushed up like Hornish was, why couldn't she do ARCA then go from there?

Saw this comment and it made me stop and think

Indycar's turned into CART 2.0, multiple chassis and engine configs, barely any ovals

Not my comment, but....

IIRC, mid race joiners (I did that a lot) got a chat message saying something like 'Make way for Bean0' and a waved blue flag message in the screen. I'm pretty sure nobody actually ever got banned for not obeying a blue flag rule and I never actually saw anyone dive off the road.

When I do get online every so often, it just depresses me that a populated server means an admin who has put down however may £ it is to rent a server, sat back and just used Airio as a crutch to run the server. You simply can't rely on technology to run a server for you.

CTRA was what....2005-2007 or 8? I joined in 05 and I distinctly remember joining CTRA and just doing my best Captain Slow impression.

As for the original question. No, it wouldn't help as the community's moved on from structured and pick up racing now to a more 'relaxed' style of racing. The demand may be there, but outside of a small niche, who would actually use a CTRA/STCC type of series?

Oh and Becky, can we still download the STCC anywhere?

Quote from GreyBull [CHA] :Yea but Wilson did win a race on meh equipment in 2009.

He did better in CART in 06 at RuSPORT though, his Coyne IICs stuff...arguably miles better than what he had back in 06

Quote from DeadWolfBones :Rubens + Tony would be a pretty good team. :P

This, or add Vitor in a 3rd car for that fantasy team. IMO Rubens will adapt well to Indy, he's definitely got the skill set and IMHO he's at a similar stage to Emmo was in the early 80s when he started in CART

Quote from Vain :There has been a discussion in Germany regarding the prosecution of foreign websites that offer child pornography and the consensus among politicians was that it was apparently completely impossible to have any sort of impact on their operations because they are in a different country, even if the provided content is illegal there.

But apparently dropping the hammer on a Hong Kong registered company from the US and jailing a New Zealand resident at the same time is easy when it's about copyright infringements by the users of a website. I still don't know what exactly the exact allegations are and on what basis the arrest was executed.

I have personally done things that are considered illegal in other countries but that aren't in Germany. Do I have to live in fear of foreign prosecution?

Vain

I've made that point elsewhere

Do I get arrested and extradited because I've made a backup .iso of a CD I use a lot which happens to be made by an American company.

Or, seeing as members of my family are in a band, if I copy one of their CDs and give it away for free, would I get arrested, seeing as they've given me permission, yet their label hasn't?

Great do I have to watch the ALMS go down the pan AND Indycar die off now?

Sooner Beaux sticks to what he's great at, the better, he's great at sportscar racing but IMO he's not cut out for open wheel racing

Thx for all the info here, only found lfs after searching for info on c.a.r.s.

Quote from this post for build 79 changelog. Kind of worries me, lift off oversteer should be part of the physics and tyre models, not an item on its own. Looks damned amazing and some of the recent builds on youtube seem to have realistic handling, look forward to seeing it.

Cheers.

Build 79 is ages ago, everyone's up to build 100+ now
