I also don't get my thought process on hearing about it, it went from
Oh God there's been a terrorist attack
to
Oh God the media's going to go into a feeding frenzy over this. (and the global media did)
That's the thing I don't understand, the media's way of covering the bombings. Is the BBC really that untrusted in the US? I cited the BBC as a source for the bombings to somebody and got shot down for rumor mongering and conspiracy theories. When they were quoting from the very same BBC page that I was.
You're lucky.
I got a major industrial cluster that pretty much keeps my city afloat (13% taxes ftw?), Com/Res intermixed everywhere else. Hospital and clinics covering the city, got police and fire covering the city too.
Yet I'm struggling. Maybe it's the fact I built my police station on a radioactive area (the ****....HOW is an area randomly radioactive and why didn't it tell em before the meteor shower?!), or maybe it's the fact that I can't seem to get a grasp on education (I got 3 schools maxed out fully, but nobody wants to go to high school >.<), or maybe it's EA sucking the fun out of it.
It's oddly compelling though, I'll admit that. I just wish I hadn't built my power plant over the only oil deposit in the city.
Oh and I GOT NO ROOM FOR BUILDING! Sims are whining at me to lower taxes, I can't because my city will go bankrupt, I can't demolish industry to zone res as that's the heart of my economy, I can't get rid of the sewage plant I put down....
Given that the NRA is sponsoring the Texas race, there's going to be some high caliber action with drivers keeping a grip on the points with their sights set on barelling through the pack. Supposedly they're going to advertise the race in magazines, but somebody's going to clip another driver and cause a wreck, it's liable to be the guy starting shotgun on the field. Actually, no, it's liable to be a revolving group of S&P guys trying to fire their teams up and going both barrels to get into the race and show what they're made of and be in range of the point cutoff.
But it does have proprely modelled turboprops (FSX's turboprop modelling is....strange, being nice. Broken, according to the big payware people), so that's a plus, AND a free demo, and stuff FSX don't have.
Six discs of XPlane here. Now anyone wanna point me to good addons? (Or, can I get, say, a fully working FMC that can fly a route in XPlane like I can in FSX payware?)
Anyone want to explain that one? I may just buy FO2 for the sheer fun of it. If I do, who is up for some multiplayer fun? Shamelss plug here but GassyMexican's FO2 vids are great, he's done the stunts and somehow managed to fail and be hilarious at it.
EDIT: Found my Flatout 1 discs too, I used to be abe to ace the high jump when I played it
I'm going to sit back and await the 'ZOMG THIS SUCKS' flood of posts in the Steam Discussion hub IF it gets Greenlit. (Don't Valve have some kind of rule about how you have to buy any DLC through Steam though? I remember that being the reason why the later EA titles got pulled, surely iR would fall foul of that rule IF it is still in place?), I've tried it, not my cup of tea, but I'm not going to sit there and whine and moan on the discussion hubs (which IMO should never have replaced the User Forums).
I will laugh if iR gets onto Steam and the discussion hubs are filled with people complaining about iR, maybe that's just my warped sense of humor, but...
No if the cars are more spread out (be it different power levels or tire wear or whatever) then simply by the laws of physics, any crash is going to be smaller than having everyone in one giant pack. That's just simple logic and science for you.
He hit the top of the wall, why not either move the fence forward to the front of the SAFER barrier, or raise the wall height more?
EDIT: Okay, what the F?
Apparently, now the cars are so safe drivers can survive anything? Some people on the replacement SPEED forums are just stupid with their mindsets.
If this was any racing sim, Kyle and CE would both get lifetime bans by the admins of those sims for dirty racing. Yet it happens in a real car, on a real (short) track, no punishment. Sometimes, reality doesn't work the way you think it does. That finish happened in reality, would it happpen in a sim without people whining and bitching and arguing over it?
