What's the difference? Since the game doesn't actually simulate the fluid lit in a cylinder, and propably never will, you (or the devs) have to create different engine characters by manipulating some numbers, that may effect some other numbers. IMO this thread is just as pointless as "what engine you want for S3".
Would it make you happy if the devs created a car that has performance like a bio-diesel and called it a bio-diesel car? I couldn't care less - as long as I can race them
When graphics card overheats (on long term), the tin on the soldering joints may melt a little, causing a "cold joint" (dunno if that's the right term in english) or if one existed from the factory, making it worse, that may distract electricity flow. When appearing of those artifacts is random (like you have), this may well be the cause. Melting the tin again with a gun may fix the cold joints. 250°C should be enough. Remeber to cool the card carefully though.
edit: I don't think it's RAM either, it shouldn't cause problems like that.
Maybe the answers weren't as constructive as they could've been, but they weren't mean either, and definately had nothing to do with being a demo racer. You just got what you asked, and should be happy that Spankmeyer didn't reply you
I don't think it has anything to do with Windows. But if the card is broken (which it seems), you can try to fix it - as stupid as it sounds - with a hot air gun! You have to be quite careful though, because you just want to melt the tin on joldering joints a bit, not fry the whole card.
But there's really nothing to lose, man. You either get it working or not.
True, I was gonna reply the same but noticed you had already done it. Can't comment about [FM], but their name sounds as great as crazy frog as an avatar
I am running on XP until..
a) I build myself a new PC that can run Vista (requires 4gb of ram in my books) properly, and that happens next year.
b) Someone writes decent FFB drivers for Linux, and that won't propably happen.
Hi kspbarebone! LFS only has 3 developers, and highest priority in the developement at the moment are gameplay related things, such as even more realistic physics and damage. I believe we are not going to see new tracks or cars for a while.
However, I'm sure we will get plenty of more tracks and cars before S3 (that's years away), and there has been rumours of modding possibilities after it.
I'd suggest you to buy S2, sit back, and enjoy the ride, because you won't regret it!
There's already 3 single seaters you can drive.
I wake up @ 8.30am, eat breakfast, work from 10 am to 5pm and eat a dinner when I get home. But if you asked about the dinner, of course it simply rocks because I'm the best chef in the world
