60-70fps at full grid start (online! AI would make my weak cpu struttle like hell..), otherwise mostly at the limit (90fps)
edit: after noticing that even high-end cpu's perform worse on the full grid start, i really have to check my full grid fps again
American soldiers get killed every day, why there has to be massive headlines if they get killed because of a mistake (friendly fire, copter crash)? The whole war (and every war due to today afaik) is a big mistake.
That's just the case, ukg. Even if you were the first one to use it as a server name, most people see it as universal term, like "drifting". You can't compare your issue to someone imitating CD or RR, except content-wise, which is completely ok, imo.
Just because you are dedicated for something doesn't mean that others can't do their things.
I have to admit that reading these forums and being involved in this LFS community has changed my additudes towards some things, like other racing simulators or an e-magazine. I wouldn't call it spoling my nature, but rather opening my eyes.
This community is indeed the freakiest one I've ever seen, but that's not because of the people themselves, but the way they have started to behave together over time. The answer why we are what we are is a sum of many little things, I think. Existence of LFSworld being maybe one of them, and behaviour of some individuals another, just for example.
And if this current rate continues, you will spend £1770 more on other hardware (propably including g-cards) before decent DX10 supporting games are out
This isn't the first shaun's thread that turns into a "when i was 8" thread.
And for shaun: Don't stop trying! Age is not a good excuse when it comes to Internet, being young doesn't mean your videos are rated any higher. But if you drew a watercolor painting about rainbows and little green men, and signed "shaun 8yrs" in the corner - people would be more open minded. Here in the Evil Internet they just don't seem to understand that even finding out how to compile a "movie" from a game and how to attach music to it, isn't something that every kid, who studies multiplications and spelling* at school, can do.
* (i have no idea of how long do you study it in UK, and at what age, because we are lacking the whole subject here)
EDIT: I wouldn't be surprised if some day Mr. Shaun made his living out of these machines, that do the multiplications for you...
Im really, really tired at the moment, and therefore my brain functions and english skills are lower than a zombie's, but didn't you just somewhat repeat my question instead of answering it?
Sorry if it's me who is acting all funny, I promise I'll go to bed right away ->
EDIT: I slept a night, but still have no clue why you quoted me
I just spent 90e for a new modem (old pci crap wasn't supported in newer kernels and it was really the time to get rid of it), but that's a small price if I don't have to lose my nerves with Windows again
Blah. I've had enough of Windows. 18 days uptime didn't do any good for my (18 months old) xp install, now dvd burning fails over 50% rate, i couldn't set up a lan between two computers and ethernet cable, etc, etc..
Next week I gather all data I need to backup, and TRY to burn them on dvd's. Then I reinstall this crap, drivers and lfs, and NOTHING MORE. Oh yes, and Ubuntu of course.
Structure of that post was stupid, and also that fluid analogy was a bit stupid, but the point is: there's no point. Just tweak the numbers (resulting forming those power and torque bands) and there you have engine as you like (power band of diesel, electric or whatever car). Heck, in car selection info screen there can read bio-diesel or cow crap as a powersource, as long as we can race the car it doesn't matter.
LOL, someone who understands me, speaks decent english and has eaten something, please write something that makes sense for instance
1) The sooner they spot these flaws, the better it is, right? Softwares tend to include bugs, and softwares with millions of lines of code tend to include more bugs. No matter how much you test a software with restricted amount of testers, they can't be as effective as millions of users.
2) That's not really very critical flaw, because it requires actions from user. And how stupid you have to be if you won't suscpect the "FORMAT C:\ *" that someone is shouting through your speakers?
Most of this Vista bashing is really unnecessary and just makes me laugh. It's true that for most of us, at this point, Vista is quite useless and XP is better option, especially if you already own a license. But that doesn't make Vista a lousy OS. XP also had it's problems on the launch - and comparing to that, I think Vista will be more successful.
At least, as long as I am enforced to use Windows, just because I want to play LFS, I try to be objective.
