Quote from BigTime :it would be ideal if there was a way to look back and keep up with pre-Y hotlaps.

Quote from Victor :The current hotlap results will not be deleted btw. They'll be backed up, like all previous seasons. Perhaps we'll find a way to display all that data in the future.

Quote from BigTime :With the clutch as is your going to have to pick moments during a race (endurance style) to slow down and the let the clutch cool and slowing down never has been in my vocabulary.

No you don't, just don't heat the clutch in the first place and it will last forever (no flatshifting and stuff).

I had a dream where the patches started to use two letters instead of just one. So the one after Z would be AA then AB and so on.

The interiors are going to change anyway. Atleast they are all readable now. So let's wait for the interior updates and then start complaining how the new interiors are all wrong.

Wow! Even the RAC speedo is readable now.

There is no point arguing about this now. The upcoming interior updates are coming next, the situation is going to be different then. Also I am 100% sure that Eric knows about these hard to see numbers and he is going to do something about it.

Infact I think the reason the speedo styles were locked was because we were supposed to get the interiors in this patch, but they got delayed, but the changes to the LFS' coding had already been done.

Quote from Nordic :MRT BUG?

The car starts and i can rev the engine but it won't let me select a gear. What's wrong? Every other car works fine....

Try shifting down. MRT has a motorcycle gearbox, so first gear is down instead of up (1-N-2-3-4-5).

Quote from AW06 :any car on the 8 lane drag, i'll attach a replay

Happens on the 2 lane drag strip too. I tested it with XFG, XRT and FZR.

Quote from SFL :When shifting a H-shifter (unless it's a dogbox one) you allways need to use the clutch to change gear.

No you don't. You can change gears in a H-gearbox without clutch.

Sometimes you just can't have the optimal tyres, much like in real life.

This could go to the manual.

PS. I wonder why no one has updated the manual with FBM and clutch things, is it because the patch is not offical yet or is everyone just lazy?

The speedos will probably get much clearer in the upcoming interior updates.

Quote from Darkone55 :Funny, most people vote for wind, but when it's actually on, everybody is complaining. I like wind, but it's too unrealistic at the moment. But it's nice to drive when it's on low.

Maybe it's because when you go online, there will a lot of people who don't visit or read the forums, let alone answer polls like this. Also people who visit the forum tend to be more serious about realism than the general population online.

I like wind because it makes the race a bit different everytime. Altough I don't really like the strong wind option since it sometimes creates winds of storm level, it's too much.

Quote from perox :Lock, install patch, unlock.

You never need to lock the game..
geeman1
S3 licensed
It depends. You don't have to unlock every patch. Besides when ever a patch requires a unlock the devs award everyone with one extra unlock if they don't have any. So no need to worry about unlocking.

Quote from Mazz4200 :If shipping from the UK is that cheap you wanna have a word with Jakg. He's got a pedal set for sale http://www.lfsforum.net/showthread.php?t=34874

I don't think that the shipping is that cheap really. The overall feeling I got from UKFormula was, that they really didn't know what they were doing so I am guessing they only charged for shipping inside the UK. But they didn't say anything about that, so I didn't complain.

PS. Jakg has the older Act Labs pedals, which are made from plastic which aren't really that good. I have the newer ones (Advantage1 design, made entirely from metal) which are much better.

Quote from Californian :No it really doesn't. It's not in the "Tietoa = Info" section or "Voimansiirto = Transmission or whatever it's named in eng version" section.

I bought my Act Labs shifter from the US in last years spring. The taxes and shipping was quite a lot. If my memory serves me right it was around 140€ in total (incl. shipping and taxes).
I got my Act Labs pedals a bit cheaper from this called shop UKFormula in the UK few months ago. The total was only around 130€. There was only about 10€ worth of shipping in there. They have gone out of business now though.

The current situation seems quite bad now, since Act Labs is by far the cheapest alternative to the G25, but there is no European reseller, so the costs from ordering the US will raise the price quite a lot.

I could be way off and this has nothing to do with LFS or racing cars, but anyway. I thought that in normal road use discs on the back might go bad somehow because they get used so little and drum brakes are better in that aspect.
Correct me if I am wrong

In setup screen it says what gearbox the car has, below the engine specs.
