yes, if you neglect important stuff when analyzing things, the analysis is "wrong".

Quote from Jakg :BTW the stories on her site are mainly fabrication and a lot of the photo's are staged (i.e. rooms furniture altered etc).

Chernobyl is interesting but this bage is just BS unfortunately. Still a good read.

care to explain why?

a short explanation: conservation of momentum is as important as conservation of energy (some say it's actually more important).

sooo ok, he is "thinking outside the box". problem is, to do that properly, you've got to have at least an idea of where the box is... not knowing that electromagnetic fields carry momentum and angular momentum shows a rather large gap in the understanding of how things work.

you are confusing power consumption with computing power.

leave it enabled, because the cpu will ramp up the frequency whenever it is actually needed. when not needed, it drops voltage and frequency so that it uses less electricity and produce less heat. you don't keep your car's revs constantly high, do you?

think of the electric motors that can split steel axles with their ridiculously powerful torque and you will understand why the last thing you said is silly.

you know very little about physics to understand where you are in error.

but you do not seem to want to learn anything new, you only try to prove that the knowledge the rest of us have is wrong.

play with GPU scaling of image, maybe that will work better.

maybe i am lucky, because i enjoy a game even if i play it at 1024x768 without AA (one thing i never turn off is AF. ever since i got a card that had texture filtering i always... always pushed it to the maximum. an other thing i never ever turn off is VSYNC and shadows.)

what i enjoy even more, though, is my pc to be silent. i am almost there, GPU and CPU cooling is done with a single coolermaster 12cm fan that runs at 300rpm or something (according to bios) and the PSU is cooled with an other 12cm fan that gets 5V.

why do my seagates make so much noise

Quote from Crashgate3 :made to take anti-radiation drugs.

you can drink booze to lessen the effect as well.
but not too much 'cause you can't aim well.

the masks, did they find them at cordon? where?

i do not understand a single thing from all this. now there is electricity at play here? not just mechanics? as i said, if you have electricity you have electrical fields. if you have electrical fields that change (simplifying here) you have electromagnetic fields. if you have electromagnetic fields, you have to take their momentum and their angular momentum in consideration.

you knew that electromagnetic fields have those properties... right?

not low. medium. instead of 1600x1200 with 4xAA and 16xAF you can go to 1280x720 no AA, 8xAF (example). i doubt you will lose THAT much...

reminds me of a classic bash.org entry

<guy1> you've got to start finding things out yourself
<guy2> how do i do that?

guys. you know, you are not forced to play the game at maximum settings with AA pushed to maximum and at ridiculous resolutions.

game requirements are high but they are elastic, meaning you can drop the res down to 1280x800 (or 1280x720) and lower AA.

the fastest cpu you can get (bout 50 euros)

since your mobo has pci express you can get pretty much any graphics card you want. wouldn't go as far as a 48x0, i'd say a 3850 maybe. ok, maybe the 4850 if the games you play are more dependant on a gpu than a cpu.

pros: you give some money now and you get decent performance. you can keep the graphics card.
cons: you have less money for the next pc

as a temporary solution it is ok.

also get a couple 1GB dimms

Quote from M3THANOL : Those engines were just FREAKIN strong, once again, lots of time and money invested in it.

what distance did those engines cover, before a rebuild/servicing ?

Quote from M3THANOL : the torque curve is constant, it doesnt stop pulling, were as reciprocating engines tend to run out of steam, not all, but generally speaking.

generally speaking, they don't run out of steam (compared to wankels, that is). look at honda's engines, modern motorcycle engines (15K for 600cc, 13Krpm for 1000cc). most performance-oriented engines are like that.

Quote from Furiously-Fast :Don't wanna see it? DON'T USE IT! simple as that...

uuhhh.. no, it's not as simple as that... because if they add this car, then it means that a car that i would like will not be addded, at least not this time.

Quote from tristancliffe :Ah, the joys of artificially limited torque curves

"We could make it make more, but then it would take sales away from somewhere else, so let's pretend we liked it this way, and it's done for a good reason".

"artificialy limited torque curves"...

...

EVERY SINGLE DAMN FUEL INJECTED ENGINE IS 'ARTIFICIALY LIMITED' if you think about it

Quote from IlGuercio :I think wankel is really in a very early stage.

why do you think that? i think that whatever research is done on this type of engine, due to its very nature, will never 'give back' the effort. Too much fuss for little gain. For example: you want high-power low-weight engines? look at bike engines... you don't have to go rotary. (the last kawa 1l gives 170 at the wheel.)

no.

what next, lerts? 'proving' that conservation of energy is 'wrong' ?
