Well I just hosted a room in the online lobby called LFSers get in here! But only Mason from here turned up along with loads of randomers. Restricted the tyre choice to comfort hards and turned all aids off. Was mental but fun and made me laugh quite a lot at all the people trying to drive very high power rwd cars around Tsukuba with only comfort hard tyres allowed.
Been drifting around town in the snow since it started on Monday. Great fun It's still coming down now over a day later, almost constant snowfall and it's pretty deep.
Is there? Sorry I must have missed that. Just find it a pain having to trawl back through previous pages looking for LFSers to race with on GT5 :sadbanana
Could we not put all of the LFS user's PSN names somewhere in a list? Would make things easier.
Camtoo is my PSN which I have already put up previously but was lost very quickly with the increase rate of posts in this thread once more people started to get the game.
It looks nothing like GT5 does on my playstation so if that is actually what it looks like on everybody elses then you're all extremely unlucky. Looks great on mine and unlike most I have no real complaints about the graphics after fiddling about in the display settings, but maybe I'm just not as fussy as some of you! I still don't believe that those screens were from GT5 to be honest, the sky looks different, the lighting is completely different, the environment textures are much worse than in the actual game...
I am yet to come across any part of the game that looks anywhere near as bad as that, when I hop into a standard car, the environment textures don't dip to "standard" level too. I'm just going to continue calling shenanigans.
Just got my new Fanatec dongle so it's all set up and working. Wow, it's a totally different animal with a wheel. I thought it was a decent game with a controller but my word it's very very good with a wheel! It does feel like it's aimed to please the sim fans among the masses of casual gamers when it's set up properly with a good wheel. The rallying feels especially brilliant imo
Haven't been able to test it with my wheel yet but it feels very fun using a controller. Imagine it would be much better with a wheel though so if I can enjoy it with a controller, something I just didn't find possible with Prologue, then it can't be that bad!
Just did my first online race. Surprisingly great fun! Was on Top Gear test track with my heavily modified Classic Mini '98 1.3i with 151bhp and beat the new McLaren car and an FTO The mini feels pretty accurate, it's so fast in corners it takes all of the other faster cars by surprise! Shame it's not a premium car.
Well yeah it's a great wheel. Just annoying that because mine is such an early version that I need to spend 50 pounds for a new wireless dongle because the postage and packaging is almost 20 euros.
Still I'm having quite a lot of fun even with just the controller at the moment!
Nah I've had 2 G25s previously and both became defective after about 6 months use and tech support was absolutely shite. My Fanatec wheel has been brilliant. Way superior in my opinion, just annoying that I have to get a new dongle for GT5 because I have one of the earlier models of the 911 Turbo. Still working fine though, I've had it for about 2 years now, the leather is starting to wear off I've used it so much!
Turns out I have to buy an updated version of the wireless dongle from Fanatec for my wheel to work. That's really pissed me off since a new dongle is 30 euros and then there's a 17 euro postage and packaging fee from Fanatec plus 19% VAT on top!!
Cost me nearly 50 quid just to get a new dongle. **** that! Been mugged.
