The first design you could create in photoshop by simple making a selection with the Lasso tool and then either fill or stroke to give the flame shape. For better results the pen tool would be best but then pen tool requires some practice and getting used to.
The second design, I can't help you with as I have never tried to make flames in photoshop. Best guess would be a google search for a tutorial.
There has to be some circumstance where the race will be re-started. Last season we were racing fox at FE gold and the lag was horrible and about 90% of the field got taken out at T1 due to it. The race re-started on a different server.
I gave up in the end and made it. I was looking for the font though to make the letter's more accurate as I know some of the corners are sharp others are round but being so small you can't tell. Will have to take a picture next time I am passing the shop
Hotlaps would still have to be used for WR's as they need to be HLVC ok to be counted. IIRC I personally have only ever uploaded 2 hotlaps to LFSW before I got bored of it. So +1 for ranking on pb's as it will show your speed at that combo compared to every other lfs player (instead of your speed compared to everyone who uploaded a hotlap)
I would suggest before trying to skin in photoshop you learn the basics of photoshop first. Things such as how to create layers, make selection's, gradients, colour fills, Be able to transform things etc. They are the basics for skins making. They can be more complicated if you start to use other tools though. Just take your time and don't expect instant master pieces
I can use photoshop and skin with it easily but I would be interested to see the tutorial finished, also it might turn out to be helpful to people who are new to photoshop and skinning.
Only problem I see is if you can use photoshop you can skin using photoshop. Whereas if you can't use photoshop, you can't skin using photoshop. So it wouldn't neccesarily be a tutorial on skinning basics, more on photoshops basics.
Not read the whole thread but last night racing the fox I had some nice battles with people. I have found this for the past few nights that I have been racing the fox on the ctra servers. What I have noticed is that on larger tracks the people who are slow or are novices spin and crash which is no problem. The faster more compitant driver's pull away and race. Like BL1 in 9 laps I think it was you would come across some backmarkers but with the layout of the tracks was easy to get past. The problem comes on tracks like the small FE (can't remember the name off top of my head) where one car spins but the track is so small that the faster drivers are coming up on the novices almost instantly and with almost no where to let blue flag drivers past it becomes problematic.
I am not saying the small track is an excuse for bad driving but it leads to what seems to more bad driving, which IMO is partly due to the driver but due to track as well. I say this because racing BL1 last night was alot of fun, track changed to FE and it was utter carnage.
Edit: Just say your post above becky. Personally I love the MRT but despise the TBO class. I raced in the STD class in STCC but when I got silver licence rarely in the TBO server. Now I race the TBO server just so i can get gold to move upto the GTR car's which I like. My point is there will always be people who like the car's they are racing, others wont. Saying this though the MRT to me does not seem a good idea as it is IMO harder to drive than the fox as it light, slides are hard to catch, no reverse etc.
The way to know would be to look at how big the image is. How to look varies on what program you are using to skin with.
The difference though is the size, 1024 x 1024 is a quater of the size of 2048 x 2048 as already said. The difference in terms of skinning though is that if you start at 2048 and resize down to 1024 the quality is slightly better than skinning at 1024 in the first place.
Global warming is happening, whether it is caused by us as a species I don't think so. I think that we may be having a small effect as we do produce alot of emissions into the atmosphere but for the main part I believe it is just another cylce of the earth. As been said there have been times when the world has been completely frozen, others when the majorit has been rain forest.
One, hopefully, good thing to come out of 'oh noes global warming' is that we reduce our dependancy on fossil fuels.
There is so much contradictory information that it makes it hard to believe what is right.
Instead of DNF why not have "races started" as then DNF would simply be races started - races finished and we already have the number of races finished.
In the number of people signed up to this forum there has to be a fair few girls Whether they let it be public knowledge is another thing though. Off hand I can only think of 2 females on this forum.
Everyone who wants to be a racing driver has got to have an interest in car's and from my female friends none of them are interested in car's or racing. So maybe it is as simple as the interest isn't there for females.
