Quote from sinbad :Of course not! Why would I buy a racing game to take photos of cars which aren't real? Photomode in GT5 is the biggest cock-up idea they ever had, and the way the kids go mad for total bullshot (trademarked: Boris) pictures is mental. GT5 looks nowhere near as good in game as it does in the pictures, but at least a picture of a race tells a story, there's a point to it. The "Photo-Travel" locations really make me think that everyone else on the planet is insane. The idea that people would want (instead of a track to actually drive on) a landscape or setting in which to take pictures of cars which aren't real; Mind blowing.
All it proves to me is that GT5 is not much good as a driving game. People want to take all the driving part out of the equation.

Couldn't care any less at all about a livery editor either, but again at least there is a point to it

Ditto, Photomode is the biggest waste of disk space going. Give me more tracks and cars or tuning options than that pimped up rubbish.

Can we end this dumb drama already? People come here to read about Assetto Corsa, not Shotglass's & BlueFlame's "lets pick on Boris"-fanclub. If his PayPal issues are so important to you, take it to private messages.

No hard feelings towards anyone, nor is this post to take either of sides on this matter. Just saying, this is starting to get annoyingly old now.

So... Here's :birthday::cake: cake&cookies for everyone! Lets keep it at the topic guys, please!

Just my :twocents:

I agree, I pop in here to read more of peoples opions on the game and find no content.

I suppose that best part of having mods would be a submit system where the software owner gets to check it out for evaluation before it can be released.

It's nice to see some old forum names still around, can I claim baby old school. (2006)

The class of 2003 are still alive and kicking

I'll be back with S3. Also I've finally got another mate into racing with GT5, so I'll drag him over when the time comes.

Gran Turismo nut, all the way from GT1. Got boared with GT4 and went looking at PC sims and browsing various forums I got here.

Loved the game and played it alot until GT5 came out. Now I'm keeping I eye out for S3 and I'll be back. But GT5 will do till then.

P.S what will come first GT6 or S3

Quote from xtraction :I do agree also, to some extent. The point im trying to get across is, if we have some more advertisement, there is bound to be many more license purchases, which obviously, pumps money in the dev's bank accounts. In theory, this may give them some motivation, something like "Hey Bob, Check it out, much more people are interested in the sim, how about we put some more time and effort in to this to create more purchases in the future".. if you get what im blabbin on about.

I just think, the more places LFS is advertised, the more people will buy it, the more drivers we have, the more fun that we will get from fuller servers. Not to forget the more people to hang around the forum and making it active and exciting again.

I maybe talking through my a*hole but I get the impression that it's not so much about the money but more about prefection and that can only happen when you have complete control over your product. If it was about money LFS may have been under another banner years ago.

Quote from Kid222 :I have to agree, i guess the only hope now is the GT6.

If they listen to most on GT planet GT6 will turn into a pimped up NFS. GT6 should have 2 components, 1: as hard core as they can make it for those who want something as close to real as a console can handle. 2: arcade for the noobs who don't know any better and want to just play a game.

Quote from Storm_Cloud :Why?

It's just me, my kids are all over it and they give me a hard time over it. When I buy software I don't want to login in to another party to do it.

Origin for Battlefield 3 is a good example, I brought a disk and I can't play the thing unless I go through some web interface, played it once and haven't been on since.

If LFS ended up on Steam, it would be the end for me. Any software that requires me to install Steam I don't bother.:thumbsdow

Supercars are going the way of Nascar, as far as Bathurst is concerned it needs to go back to it's roots and make it for production cars again.

Race on Sunday sell on Monday.

I could never get into Grid Iron, too stop start and no flow. I used to enjoy Soccer until one Olympic Games I watch a game and the players would fall over with a gust of wind and look for a penalty.

Aussie Rules for me, but each to their own.

Quote from NSX_FReeDoM :All the cars have basically the same chassis. So what makes the Vodafone car consistently faster than the other teams? Whenever I watch V8, it's always the 888/88 car at the front.

I'm old school and it's not Holden v Ford anymore, the cars are so simular. Bathurst is the only V8 supercars I watch now and that says more about the track than the cars.
I wonder how many people out there now follow the driver more than the brand, it was a very exciting race for the last 10 laps and a great come back from Craig Lowndes.

Quote from Inouva :Looks like you dont installed correctly

Did you used a clean folder for the install or you just merge it with the GTR2 folder?

P&G have 3 options when you are gona install it, and one of that options is use a clean folder for the instalation

It's in a clean folder, should it be merged?

Maybe I need to do a re install.

Thanks for the replies.

I did the unlock thingy and it works in GTR2 but not in P&G, got no idea I can change cars but not track. Very strange.

This might be a stupid question but I can't select different tracks in P&G. I've followed all the instructions, installed the games and patches and everything works apart from changing from the default. I get Imola and the Special touring cars.

I had downloaded Bathurst for GRT2 and it's in the list and I can see the map under circuit but doesn't load.

Any ideas?

Quote from danthebangerboy :Gahh you beat me to it, i was gonna say yeah, if we gonna keep this game as historically accurate as possible then america shouldnt be allowed to join in until about 2 years after the rest of us!

Unless they're a member of Eagle Squadron then they can get it a year earlier.

Quote from theirishnoob :agreed. i like faster menus but they ****ed up the value changes when prepping or installing a part

I maybe mistaken but are a few of the little gauges in the cockpit view seem to be now working. I know the fuel gauge didn't work in the cockpit view but I haven't done a long enough race to see if this has changed.

It's good we can now adjust all the individual gears, and there in now weight ballast to adjust in the car.
Didn't like how the changes in weight, power etc flashes to the 'pp' and 'kg's'. Hard on the eyes.

Just finished number 3 seasonal races, a lot easier than the last two.

Went from $4.5 mill to $7 mill in a very short time.

Call me old school, but this is the most reliable phone I have. You cant talk face to face with anyone under 30 without an SMS going off or some hip hop ring tone interupting the conversation.
