It seems that the Mazda is the first that people buy, but you don't have much coin left out of $20,000.

Would it be better to go for an old banger to start with and chuck a few upgrades on it?

You could start with a WRX STi for $10,700 from what I could see on the video and option it up for some more horses.

Quote from Boris Lozac :Aparently, first time install of the game takes aproximately 40 minutes..

http://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=132726

And that's just the initial part (~6gb), it installs more as you play..

Either it's been bombarded or they have stopped the link, got through about 10 pages and then couldn't access it anymore.

Just went back and they have closed the thread, and can only be updated by the originator.

Quote from JJ72 :it's alright for single player, but the list gets a bit short when you try to run a league and fill the grid with different cars (which I plan to), is there a performance index where you can tune cars from different tier to similiar performances?

Good question, maybe you will be able to limit the HP for any given race.

Quote from CoolColJ :Disappointing, and I can't understand why either

I'd rather have changeable rims than photo mode to be honest, I'll look at photo mode for 5 mins and that will be that, but the rims I'll appreciate every race replay.

Quote from dawesdust_12 :**** it, just give us Bezier curves and allow us to change the control points!

Or have a PC addition to import the track file and then export it back, with heaps of options.

Never happen though.

Quote from brandons48 :It'll definately be an R34 Skyline for me. Maybe an R32, they can handle so much extra power, and they're AWD

I'll go the model T Ford so I can race around the 'Ring' and get a blistering lap at 2 days 8 hours and 15 mins. Take out the time lost rolling backwards on the uphills.

Wait! No Model T, you mongrels.:faint:

Quote from RMZ125 :Well This Morning i received a phone call saying that i had to pick up my preorder of gt5 on the 26th of November from Eb games (Australian). I don't Know about other continents when the official date is. Lets hope this is the 'Official' date of this great game.

Ditto, EBgames ran me today also for the 26th.

Will there be downloadable content?
Maybe upgrades to some of the older tracks and cars may filter through.

Quote from CoolColJ :Don't think there will be any rubber banding with AI and Pro mode. People freaked out in Prologue and they removed it

SS7, looks like one of those Japanese freeway, street racing type courses
And yes that is a non premium car, so it sounds like the sound improvement extends to the older models too - nice
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PjRTmz6wao8

I'd like to see what the different viewing angles are in the non premium cars, just to confirm what's available. He flicked views at the end of the video but he didn't get the bonnet view or a basic cockpit and just the dials view.

Quote from Matrixi :I agree.. it's horrible. My Chemical Emo for a Gran Turismo intro, what the hell were they (whoever picked the song) thinking?

Atleast the fans know how to do it properly: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R8WDpwuJmHY

Wouldn't be a shocker if you couldn't jump past the intro and have listen to it every time you put the game in.

Could it be possible that production couldn't make enough to put on the shelves with all the pre orders as well.

This is crap, I took my holidays a month later to give this game the attension it needed. I'm locked in and can't change it.
As it was I made them a week later than the release date just incase the 2nd wasn't quite on the money.
I should have know better. Now my wife will get me to do crappy work around the house, can I sue for the delay.

Quote from speed1230 :I've went on Daytona with my silver R8 and I got punted off by some pillocks in a F430! Online on Prologue was awful mainly due to those people. Hope GT5 has some reasonable people

Need for Speed has a lot to answer for.

While waiting for GT5 a mate lent me Need for Speed Shift, while it was a bit of fun they do reward you for bad racing.

Played over a weekend and I haven't played it since.

Good race, glad Lowndes won hugh effort from him.

Still can't help but think I would like this race to go back to production car racing.

I like the old slogan, "Race on Sunday, Sell on Monday".

I really wished that they dropped the photo mode. Slightly interesting at first and then boring, could have used that extra time and disk space on something better. Perhaps the track editor could have been more involved.

I'm disappointed that they persisted with photo mode, what a lot of crap. Used it once and couldn't be bothered after that also this lounge thing also sounds like crap. I would rather they spent the time on more tracks which people would enjoy a lot longer than taking pictures in a game.

I tried rFactor about a year ago, the biggest thing that put me off was trying to get my G force pro setup. Even with realfeel I couldn't get the same steering feel as in LFS.

As for everything else no complaints, plenty of variety, but the steering needed to be plug and play who wants to stuff around tweaking configs.

You could try deep heat or a heat balm, to warm up the muscles before exercise.

The other thing is check with a Podiatrist, my kids both needed Orthotics in their shoes when playing sport, they complained of sore calf muscles and shin splits.

I have to agree, I've really gone off the V8's. I be eagerly waiting from the Merc's or BMW's to get involved. The Holden and Ford's have run their race and basically it's the same car. Variety is the spice of life and the format needs a change.

I know the Holden and Ford purists still go on about it, but their not the same as they were 20 years ago.
