Why not allow v10 and v12 engines too if they are going to allow4cyl and v6s? It is very unlikely that anyone would go that way but simply having that option would be great.
It could be just a simple trick to bypass the brake by wire. Under normal braking the brake by wire acts as an abs* for the rear tires and on sand that system probably would not allow the rears to lock or brake sufficiently. So there is a programmed bypass in the system that allows driver to brake fully with the rear wheel tires as well if the driver has pressed both pedals.
*I don't know if it does
I'd also imagine having both foot pressed against pedals is useful way to brace against the impact as well. If you don't press your foot against anything and you have big impact you may get big bruises or even broken ankles etc when your foot can almost freely "fly around the footwell".
Drivers told to not overlap brake and throttle pedals is probably just about saving fuel or brakes.
Well if you have zinio account you could go browse some of the older race car engineering magazines. Sometimes they have pretty in-depth analysisesses of some cars. I'd imagine some of the porsche analysaissons could be useful. (analyses?)
Half of the fun of modding in ac is about accidentally stumbling on stuff that you may find helpful later on. (basically read everything stereo writes about 3d modeling and modding in general)
First I'd check in blender that you have your collision mesh scaled properly. Control-A in blender to reset it so it doesn't get any bigger or smaller when you export it into fbx. Also check collisions.ini so you get the ground or roof level correct. Then just scale it in blender to match the other side. As for the size parameters I actually haven't played with them in ac...
What do you actually need help with? I could answer some questions but I'd rather spend my ac time with my own car. Is it about adjusting the suspension values (bump up/down, rod length etc). As for the dual step rpm needle you have asked about in ac forums I don't think that is possible in ac.
It is kinda nice. At first I had no feel for the car but after some plr file editing it was better. It is a bit annoying that the cars are designed so that you can't see any corners to the left from the cockpit because the a-pillar blocks everything. Not a good thing on interlagos. Moving the seat as front and almost as up as it goes makes you see more of the track though.
Physics wise hard to say. It is a bit those sims where I need to spend more time to learn to feel it (just like I had to do with lfs). At first it feels just numb and floaty and there is generally no feedback when you are braking other than the tires starting to squeel when you lock them. But little by little it starts coming to you.
Also the game doesn't suffer from icy spins. Slides are very controllable. Handles pretty much like such fwd handles. The cars do feel extremely stiff though.

Also if you are misogynist half-brain then yes, it is rfactor engine.
I'm kind of surprised button is not more interested going into wec. The next honda engine could suffer the fate of the renaults. Being low on power, unreliable and problematic in races. And not to mention that the merc team is going to win everything next year too with mclaren being good if they can get something like 5th. After all they finished 5th this year with the best engine so next year with totally new engine I doubt they are going to get quicker...
Imho there are only two reasons for button stay. Money. Or he plans to drive the car in 2016 as well when the honda engine will be sorted out just like the renault engines will be better in 2015 compared to 2014...
free-ish technical info package download thingy pdf about the 2014 season cars: http://www.racecar-engineering.com/articles/f1/f1-2014-season-review-out-now/
Freeish because you still need to give them fake name and fake address to be able to download it. Haven't had time to read it myself yet so if you download tell me if it is interesting.
The sierra road car is just fabulous to drive. Almost perfect straight out of the box.
Also I'm never trolling. I also tried the koeniggsegggggg. Felt like rfactor too although I just tried the middle tires. Not the grippiest but not the slipperiest. Longnitudal grip is kinda on off. Sure it has 570 trillion hp and rwd but for a car that was tuned with drivability in mind it drives more like 1500hp supra with single truck sized turbo than a car with predictable power delivery.
It is no the expensive stuff that is a problem. It is the way the games are designed so that there is strong incentive to buy at least something. In the larger picture it is pretty clear why all the big companies are now pushing for their own online game stores. It not only allows them to sell their own games at higher profit but also allows them to crap their games full of microtransactions which can be fully enforced with that always online drm.
I don't mind at all if in cs:go a skin costs 100$. I don't even think that is unfair or unreasonable. But if a fully priced boxed game is designed so that in addition o the purchase price everyone has to buy 10$ tokens/whatevers to not get a gimped game then then any sensible person would not buy the game. But people are morons and are happy to pay many times more just to get worse games.
And anyone who has supported this by buying boxed games with microtransactions have no right to complain at all. Those people who buy those games are the reason why we are living in the biggest money grab era of gaming ever.
