You are perfectly correct, I didn't watch the replay, and also had no need to. He got banned for REPEATED abuses of the server rules... I know this from watching him arguing repeatedly over a few weeks :P
I am not perfect, and make plenty of mistakes which I almost always apologise for, but in the few times I mistakenly think the worse of someone, I take a look at the replay and apologise afterwards... That is the difference, mistakes are allowed, but bad manners can be only tolerated for so long before it is an issue to any decent server admin.

mrodgers point.... Completely correct, if anyone is 20 seconds a lap slower than everyone else, and the leaders are coming up on them, then yes, gtfo of the way please. If it is a different class, then of course the rules change, but again, the chances of you battling for a position is tiny, and the leaders are the leaders. There is such a small chance that the leaders of the XFG class are going to be lapped by the XFR class in a short race that it shouldn't be an issue...

It is up to you to pass him, that is called racing You have 0 rights, and he should do everything in his power to block the racing line. This doesn't mean swerving over the road and making more than two distinct moves, but it is completely what racing is all about.. This is where skill and experience comes in, rather than hotlapping ability. You HAVE to out-think your opponent, not just out speed them

Example, you are being lapped and the leaders are coming up on you, the #1 gets past because it was on a straight but the #2 comes to you just before the corner. If you stay on the racing line, it is race over for him, but if you show a little thought, you could simple move off the racing line.
The main issue is that we are talking about sprint races here, and normal blue flag rules are not the same IMHO. With races of 10 minutes, 1 blueflagger getting in the way can completely ruin a race, when all it takes is a little consideration for the position of the guy coming up on you. Of course, there are plenty of fast drivers who can't drive for toffee, but in the same way, there are plenty of slower people who are just as bad...

Well, in my small opinion, and if I had a choice of things that really I cannot understand about the LFS development, it would be this -
1. Curb/mesh bugs - This is singly the most annoying bug in LFS IMO. To do a 6 hour race then get your car killed by a random curb is more than annoying, it is kinda criminal after all this time, and also it happens on the best tracks in LFS (KY2 etc)
2. Interiors - Come on, does it really take 5+ years to update 3 or 4 cars? Especially when you have a community of such talent.. This one I cannot comprehend..
3. Barrier's/collision physics - This hasn't changed from S1, and bloody hell it is annoying, especially when it costs a race...
Conclusion
All the things that annoy me about about LFS are simple physics bugs that have been around for a LONG LONG time. These things stop us enjoying LFS NOW and for as long as they are not fixed. Getting updates is a bonus IMO, but fixing these bugs is more important than any tyre physics update, any language pack or support for 3+ screens..

Well, someone from Scotland was supposed to be arranging this years Kart meet, but haven't heard anything from them in a while???

Simply make a league section, pm victor, and I am positive he would have no issue doing that for you
So congrats on your team doing so well in that race
May I be so bold as to suggest one of 3 things then
1. Make a section for this, and ask for moderator status, easily done.
2. Better still, make a simple form on your site for people to submit leagues, that way they cannot input the wrong format and would save you and them alot of hassle.
