Yes, I think they race under different names too. They're probably wreckers in disguise

I think it would be fun if there was like an annual race with the devs or something. Sort of the "Race of Champions" you have each year where drivers from all kinds of motorracing styles come together for a fun event. S2 users would have to qualify through an STCC like ladder system and the devs would have wildcards. And then make a nice video of it

Is there are hack for neons in s2? <---actuality

Now, the way an s2 licensed player reacts isn't pretty.

So basically, you hate seeing demoracers generalized, yet you seem to be in your right to generalize S2 racers assuming they all think the same?

Makes sense.

Seriously get out of your victim role.

Quote from [COBRA-R]Blingy :I hate it when S2 members come on, and say. "I hate Demo racers!"

Point me to topics where this happened.
I have never seen anyone say that.
This thread is about such a non-issue, like demoracers get slaughtered here daily. Oh boy, someone said something bad to a demoracer, he/she must hate them. Either I'm missing a whole lot on this forum, or some people just have really thin skin.
It has come to a point where I almost hesitate to tell a demoracer to go and RTFM about something (which I would tell an S2 racer just as easily) because he might get offended and I get accused of being an arrogant demoracer basher.

And so, by insulting us and spamming us to buy s2, we can only gain respect by "contributing to the development of lfs".

Did he say that?
No.

I've got some good advice for some of you demoracers: when someone replies to you...breaaattthhheee innnnnn....breeeaathhhee oouttt....think about the reply you just got for more than one second....think some more.... and then reply.

Regarding Richard's F1 project Aston Martin might be a better name though, for marketing and sponsoring reasons.

you can unlock 2 times a month, not 3. There is a maximum of 2 unlocks, only when you just bought the game you have a third one to use for your first unlock.
email the devs if you need another unlock (through the contact page at liveforspeed.net)

It's probably just a border. Make sure you add the

border="0"

to get rid of any lines around it.

(you didn't have that one traxxion, so they weren't identical after all )

Simply putting

where you want the image to appear should do the trick really.

Surely it has a graphics card? But an integrated one probably?
Anyway, the specs are enough to play LFS properly. Just get an at least medium end graphics card and it'll be fine.

I'm no scientist so I don't have the ability to check either side's "facts". What I do know is that both sides present figures and facts that sound logical to me. However this would indicate that both sides are right. And that's impossible.

I do think that human actions have an impact on the world's climate. But I don't think it's the sole reason for global warming. That doesn't mean mankind shouldn't change their way of life, because I do feel a lot of damage has been and still is done.

This film claims that Gore's is pure propaganda. The same applies to this one too though.

They say that the amount of CO2 produced by mankind is less that volcanic activity in the world. Well, I can believe that's true. But that doesn't mean mankind's "contribution" isn't a bad thing just because it's less than the volcanoes produce. The latter may just be what nature can process within it's normal boundaries. Man's part may just be what causes the cup to run over.

I don't know, I try to evaluate both side's arguments the best I can. I'm not with the doom thinkers, but I'm not with the other side either. What I do now, is that there are a lot of environmental problems that are surely mankind's doing. I think a mentality change is needed for mankind, regardless of the question if global warming is their doing.
I however don't have much faith in this.

Quote from shane-0-matic :when ever i save the skins into my skin folder and then go to use them in the game they look really blurry

and i am not currently using any skinning program

Well, they will look a bit blurry ingame. But it also depends on what dimensions the skinfiles are. Default skins are 512*512 pixels, but most skins in the skins section are higher resolution.
But the difference shouldn't be huge, can you post a picture of the skin ingame?
For my own skins I use high-res files, and they look really sharp

Quote from Albieg :I was referring to this less than flattering sentence.

Well, where am I saying it shouldn't be allowed/accepted?
I was merely expressing my opinion about the concepts, and indicating that it's understandable for people to expect racing in a racing sim (especially newcomers like I stated later on).
But I know some people here have problems with opinions, only when they're not identical to their own.

Quote from Albieg :I see no problem if someone wants to use a racing sim in a way it wasn't originally meant for. They have a right to do it, and for me the discussion stops here. There's no need to defend a concept as long as drifters and cruisers don't go drifting or cruising on racing servers disrupting races. The same could of course be said of racers. If you dislike something, just steer clear of it.

Noone said it shouldn't be allowed, but I can understand newcomers or people who don't frequent the forum not being familiar with the terms or concepts of CnR, City Driving or Cruise servers, and thus not knowing racing isn't allowed on there.
A warning message before entering the server would be appropriate (don't know if these servers have those as I never go there).

Quote from agentmarek :So what are they for ? It is frustrating to join such server, simply waste of my time . How to recognize in list of servers wchich of them are not dedicated for racing?

They're meant for...just cruising around... or something. If you want to race just avoid servers which have things like "cruise", "Cops and Robbers", "CnR", "CityLife", "City Driving" and stuff like that in the server name. I know, it's completely logical to expect racing in a racing sim, but some people feel the need to play silly, RPG like games instead.

(all imo ofcourse)

We all know that no matter how great LFS is, a computer simulation isn't able to give you the complete experience of racing a real car because of the absence of G-forces for example.

I just came across this: http://www.dignews.com/news.php?story_id=21292

I can't seem to find an official website about it. It's probably not going to be cheap and it's extremely geeky but I do think it sounds interesting.

Now, I'm not insinuating this has been the missing link in simracing (it's not aimed at simracing specifically), and that this will give complete realism, there's a chance it's complete "PS2 style rumble effects" crap, but I'm curious to know how this would feel

For league races it would be good, though I think it won't do public racing any good.
I believe it's already planned, but I think 35 cars is a bit much. Maybe like you say on the longest tracks like Aston GT and such.
