What he's referring to is a leak of around 1000 development versions of various games for Sega consoles. Of course the thing I'm wondering is why they were in a form that was able to be leaked like that. They're not meant for playing, more for ripping apart with a Palette/Sprite viewer and seeing what you can dig up about the game's development.

An example: Ristar was one of the games that was leaked. The string "CAUTION -RISTAR- IS NOT V O L T !" is found in ROMs going back to the earliest found, which would imply an internal struggle over the naming. It's interesting to see what changes are in each ROM version. It's more for sh*ts and giggles than anything else.

EDIT: @Dalek: Surely you should have used the cross-eyed one

Quote from guybrush :Actually opera wii browser does work, for lfs world, unfortunatly not for the live tracker :/ would be awesome if that would work

That's because the Wii browser is essentially a full version of Opera. The original post was talking about a Windows Mobile based device, which is a lot less powerful under the hood and has a smaller screen, thus limiting what it can do.

Back to the original post: I'm not sure whether WM6 can run WM5 apps, but if they can you can try Minimo (http://www.mozilla.org/projects/minimo/). Apparently it supports Javascript and AJAX stuff rather well. Worth a shot!

Quote from SabersKunk :My understanding is if it uses active X components it won't work on windows mobile.

It doesn't use ActiveX, or if it does then somehow the FOSS crowd have found a way to run it. IIRC it's AJAX-based, which would make it a lot more cross-compatible

I just tried Opera Mini and that got as far as the main LFSW screen. Clicking the icons didn't work though. I would try Opera Mobile, which is for Windows Mobile/Symbian S60 phones/PDAs. If that doesn't work then I'm not sure what other browsers are available on Windows Mobile.

Quote from Denthul :Quick question to any of the Linux users here - do you prefer KDE or Gnome, and why? Ta.

I prefer neither. I'm an Xfce fan, it's more lightweight than GNOME, still based on GTK+ (which I love) and I can add whatever I want to it. No being tied down by evolution-data-server either

I never liked how KDE works. I especially don't like the new menu in KDE4, not what I want to see, I'm afraid.

Can't help but notice an array of errors on that site. For example, on the About page I found the following glaring (and totally obvious) errors:
  • You close the <html> tag twice.
  • Line 104 is a total mess. You try closing tags that are not even open.
And one more thing: The layout you're using is under a Creative Commons Attribution 2.5 licence. I quote:
"Attribution. You must attribute the work in the manner specified by the author or licensor (but not in any way that suggests that they endorse you or your use of the work)."

I don't see any attribution to the author of the design (http://www.metamorphozis.com) other than in the CSS file (which I had to actively look for). Overall message: Get a clue before you tell people what to do/use

Quote from dawesdust_12 :Be cool.

Buy a mac and use Coda.

I swear, it's probably one of the more useful HTML/ASP/PHP editors out there, and then coupled with CSSEdit, it's brilliant.

Be geeky.

Install Linux and use SciTE (it's free!)

I swear, it's probably one of the more simple HTML/ASP/PHP editors out there, and it highlights CSS syntax too (Oh and it's free!)

(Did I mention it's free?)

VirtualBox Seamless mode FTW

EDIT: The bottom right graphical corruption isn't seen on my screen, it's a bit where nothing actually exists. You'd get a black bar on Windows (2 monitors, left taller than right)
