Shaun, since XP Pro works, could you boot into that and paste the contents of c:\boot.ini please. I reckon it may be one of two things: either boot.ini pointing at the wrong partition for XP Home, or both copies of Windows being on the same partition, creating a conflict between the two.

What everyone has been saying is perfectly right, harjun, overclocking a laptop is a surefire way of killing it. My advice is simple: DON'T BOTHER!

As a side note: Have you actually looked at the size of the fans laptops use? They're barely enough to keep them operating at stock speeds. To try and get any more speed out of a CPU that's already on the brink of overheating is silly.

But on the point of the XRT. I found it wasn't the easiest to drive, as my exploits in the STCC showed...Luckily I seem to have it more under control now, it just takes time and patience, but I'd rather drive an FXO or RB4 any day.

We're not after random handouts from random people here. What I don't think is being conveyed here (except by Sam above) is that the server is easily funded by the people that are already throwing money in. Sam's word overrides Jack's and Dan's on this one
