this only happens with the skins i created. public skins i downloaded work fine.
my skins are in jpg format and in the folder data\skins, like the others that work.
Car tuning? I will change that a little bit and say something like racing modifications.
maybe 2 or 3 spoilers and bodykits, not for looks like those stupid NFS kits, but to have some differences in aerodynamics.
I remember when i played Street Legal Racing Redline, there different parts added different behaviours on the car. For example one spoiler added very little downforce, other one heavy downforce, and even other one added more stability when cornering.
Changing wheels? I don't think it's necessary, but i won't deny it would bring some fun to the game.
ok, if i tell you this one, you're not gonna believe it.
get ready...my sister is now in a professional school of beauty and cosmetics, and my "dear" father, which is against internet payments, is paying it over the net :jawdrop:
it's true, i found the printed bank transfer this morning.
yes i have a credit card, but last time i tried an internet payment...i sort of lost my modem.
and my parents still have full access to my account. they don't trust my spendings, and stupid thing is i don't know why.
btw I want to buy S2. I'm tired of demo but my parents don't let me use the internet to buy things. (bad thing of being 18 but living in your parents house )
honestly I'm not sure if i can be into this group, but never farther than this.
i'm now getting into drawing (i haven't done it since my 15 years, and i'm 18 now. never had the skills, but hey, it's never too late to try it again) and i can say anthropomorphic animals are great models to be based on, because you are not limted to the human form, and you can always vary on some details, ad let's face it, everyone likes a well drawn artwork (surely not mine :razz, no matter in what it consists.
you're right. i remember a few days ago someone named "The Stig", parked on the finish line, and when i was about to pass he tried to ram my car. good thing is i managed to do a quick maneuver and avoid him, and i still kept my car under control. thank god for my drift skills!
i had the opportunity of playing S2, thanks to a friend of mine (i hope to get my S2 license soon ), and by my experience, all RWD cars are able to drift (yes, even the XRG).
personally i don't use any special setup. the hardtrack setup with normal road tires works fine for me, but try to create your own setup, so it will suit your driving skills. basically lower and harden the suspension, but not too much, and a little more pressure on tires should help too, and thats all you need. you can also setup some more when you are more experienced, camber for example. (and i almost forgot. at first, use lower grip tires on the rear, for example front-road normal, and rear-hybrid. then try the same tires on both front and rear)
if you want some advices, first start with some donuts. since you use the G25, it will help you get the feel of the car on oversteer. then try some circles/ovals on countersteer. at first it will be easy to spin off or understeer, but with time you will be able to do long drifts on countersteering. IMPORTANT TIP: everytime you drift, don´t aim for the perfect drift. instead, let the drifts flow naturally. it takes time, but you will be surprised with the results.
also try some countersteering around a cone (i guess you know how to place one, but if you don't know, for example on BL car park (good place to practice) press Shift+U, choose the cone and place it with "O")
now try making a turn around the cone using the handbrake. when approaching the cone, turn and then hit the clutch and the hand brake for a short time. then release them (don't use the throttle yet).
when you get used to it, do the same, but now as you release the clutch and the handbrake, hit the throttle and countersteer, and then its all about practice so you don't spin off or understeer. by the way, remember the important tip i gave you above. use it here too. at first don't worry if you understeer or spin, just concentrate on using the handbrake, then, when you got the feel of it, try to control the drift. (edit: i forgot to include this: on the first times, drift on 1st gear only. when you got the feel of it then try some drifts on 2nd or even 3rd)
then its all about trying it on the track and also try some other techniques.
if you want to learn techniques and how they are done you can watch the Keiichi Tsuchiya's Drift Bible (you can find videos on youtube, for example). OK, its real drifting, but it helps a lot too on Live for Speed.
And these tips can help you too if you want to start some real drift, as long as you don't do it on public streets
This is the first time i visit the forum after the release of patch Y, and honestly i wasn't expecting so many threads complaining about it.
So i created this one not to complain, but for you to talk about any bug related to realism you might found on patch Y.
Right now, i played it 1 hour, and i felt something strange about the clutch, but i still can't describe what it is. I will play again and try to find what it is.
