Yes they are. It's in Zion Race Demo, if i'm not mistaken. It's for XFG and XRG only and laps below 1:35:XX are common.
I frequently watch those races. Would like to participate too, but i can't get below 1:37:XX. Maybe it's my setup. I run in default setup with slightly hardened suspension...
well, just because they like logitech they're not brainless. you can't deny it, logitech has wheels of great quality. but the RGT is also an option to have in mind.
And by the way, i'm willing to buy a RGT. It costs way less than the G25, having a clutch pedal is really an advantage and the analogue paddles are very useful to me because i got a friend in a wheelchair who likes racing games...
Just to make another suggestion, anther kind of track i would like to see is one in a tropical and beach area, i really like those environments. like this from outrun2:
The only downhill tracks i saw were in rally too. but both could be added.
And by the way, relating to your first post, why would they flame you and saying you are an Initial D fan? I'm a fan of the anime myself, and i like mountain roads (note that i said mountain roads, not drift) A LOT, but it doesn't mean i'm automatically a drifter. unlike most of initial d fans out there, i'm aware drift is used only for show or as a last resort, and it's slower in the great majority of the curves (shall we say about 95%-98% of them) but it's hell for my tires, so it's not really an option.
But i admit it: sometimes when i'm bored in a race, i drift in one curve or another to keep me awake. but i only do it when i'm sure i'm not going to disturb anyone's racing line.
 OH MY GOD its EXACTLY like Lucas Di Grassi accident a few years ago. It was in F3 too, Di Grassi also tried to overtake using the left side, and also touched the other car's rear tire. car rolled over the exact same way and it's even on the same curve. difference is Di Grassi's car flied a little bit and the car's nose ended on top of the fence behind that tire wall.
edit: i only found a "watts zap" video with the accident. here it is. look for 0:39.
it's hard to tell...the idea is not bad at all, but it's hard to implement in LFS. follow my thinking, there are better parts than others, but there is no money system inside lfs playing, so everyone put the best parts in their engines. to prevent this, all parts have advantages and disadvantages, for example part X adds a little more output, but it's heavier, and part Y is less powerfull, but lighter. But if you noticed, this would bring lfs to the arcade level.
and i also own "Street Legal Racing: Redline" (this is the correct name) and i love it, except the ricing thing (but like to change the engine parts).
an idea i had is being able to swap engines between cars, but not bringing this to stupidity like putting a Formula1 engine in the UF1000 or the XFG. Could be like having the XRG and installing the turbo version engine. Of course there would be some differences like the different transmission effects or heating up a little bit faster.
edit: also being able to swap transmissions wouldn't be bad at all...
no need of it. i prefer the XRG. and the physics are better in Y (i think)
and btw (hope the layout is correct :razz
