I'm not sure why you are hitting on the Shift engine, I mean these games aren't supposed to be simulations and they are still relatively fun. If somehow the majority of NFS online players would stay away (read: wrecker kids) then it might even be enjoyable. Until those kids are around, it's basicly just a fuss.

I've been through every single track while hotlapping nowadays and I'm yet to find any of those landmine bugs on the content tracks so far... I just don't see the reason for valuing JP that much that it could decide somebody's payment for this game or not.

How can people be all for Joux Plane, and how can it make the game worth less since its ruined? It's not even officially supported... There are a lot better stuff in the game than a 2005 whatever port of a track.

Are you sure the USB ports on your motherboard are working properly? Try plugging to another one, and hope for the best.

Might be. For some reason I lost my achivements for the GrA races, so I had to do it all over again. I think it was slightly harder than last patch though.

I am currently amused by taking a few WRs that seem to be lacklusters.

Yeah, as I expected. I got the Alien achivement on first try. Getting 2.18s on that combo isn't that much of a challenge, and somehow I passed the leader on the 2nd lap, then pulled away easily.

EDIT: Ah, I didn't read your post TVE. Here's a setup for the GrA Mugello race. It's fairly easy to drive.

Hmmmm... I didn't try it yet, as I found more amusing stuff in the game, than these AI races, but 2.19 doesn't sound like a big deal though. I'll give it a try when I get home and see how it is ^^

There was an ini responsible for HDR effects. Modding that might solve stuff. I can't recall the location though.

We also call it different in Hungarian, but that's the closest combination of words I found in English to suit what my degree is supposed to be. If we enter corner at same speed it seems my car just understeers soooo much and I lose speed compared to them. Tried more wings but then I lost so much speed on the straights that I ended up doing worse.

You have to play with the setups a bit. The one you get by default is horrible. I was able to get low 2.03s easily.

How can it be a problem? I mean... that is additional content, the developers said that patches might ruin mods. It's not even officially supported yet. So you can only wait for kegetys for a quickfix.

Wise words from wise thoughts. Studying to be a software engineer, I know that quote will help me a lot. It's not only for games, it's for every programs aswell but it's really motivational.

It needs tons of griding and play time invested into the game before you can do anything serious.

I tried the E30 drift with lowered gain at 40 and it was easier to recover from slides as there wasn't such a strong force to fight, but you do give up overall feel/weight. To me though it feels like the countersteering force lasts too long at the end of the slide, think I may post about it on there official forums.

The force should actually HELP you with the drifting and not prevent it. There is no force to fight if you are doing the weight shifting right.

Finally my PC upgrades are coming this Friday, which will probably kill the 3 times a turn FPS drop. Then finally I can do some rape action on RSR Leaderboard Currently, I can hardly see the track at all...
