@ "progress report"...

Scawen, just wondering, but what bike do you own? And what does it need for its MOT?

Sorry for being nosey, but i too have to spend a sh!t load of cash on my bike. It needs new piston/rings and a new clutch, aswell as new brake pads..

Would be cheaper to go and buy another bike, but my last decent one got nicked by some peice of sh!t.

Not your average two wheeling...

And another small, crap movie from me.. http://www.dpostill.karoo.net/downloads/Endooooh.wmv

[off-topic]I need a new pc, recording and running LFS at the same time practically brings my pc to a halt. [/off-topic]

Quote from Unclefloug :@geezer45: i do hope u realise that the image of the 'r8_crash' is the accident which claimed the life of Michele Alboreto, i would apprecaite if u could remove it, i don't think it was a suitable image

thanks
floug

Why exactly isnt it suitable?

Because someone died? - Well, it doesnt show his body, so i see no problem with it.. Its just a wrecked car as far as im concerned..

@ Racer - Without the wing yeah..

I want this made into an LFS poster..

Nice big LFS logo on it, and some text at the bottom reading "God made both - But the one on the left is better.."

Quote from dUmAsS :gokart track?

Guess it's more of a text track really, would suit karts/fox perfect though!

Motorbikes are not simple to simulate, if it was simple, we would have had a decent motorbike sim by now.

Would love any motorcycle in LFS, we would need bike tyres first though..

Quote from the_angry_angel :You can also use this to get an almost infinite plane on which you can max-speed test.

Not anymore. It's like driving on ice.

Thats been known for years.. You can get to the "hidden" gokart track using a similar expolit.

Quote from spankmeyer :But none of you can deny that there should be plenty of more sounds in LFS if the sim is trying to be more realistic.

Anyone who even tries to deny this, must have their sound turned off. I think just about everyone is in agreement about this.

Quote from MagicFr :and that LFS will never have..

I love both.. good 4 me that is 2 sim to drive

Never say never.

Nice to see someone who can enjoy both! Good on you.

Both have good and bad points, so play both, and you get the best of both worlds.

Quote from Tweaker :The only reason people think rFactor has crazy bumpy tracks (like they feel it) is because the game, by default, comes with excessive G-Force movements of the head. The tracks are smooth in rFactor too you know....

Maybe so, but Rfactor gives you a better sense of being on a real track i think.

You wouldnt be able to create a perfectly smooth track in the real world, like you can in 3d max..

Quote from SpiderX :It can only be a joke right.... tracks on rFACTOR are simply horrid

But they feel ALIVE. You can feel and see the undulations in the track, the little bumps ect ect - Something LFS does not have, which makes it feel like the tracks "smooth".

LFS tracks feel like brand new surfaced tarmac. Rfactors feel like they have been there for years. (Note : havent played the recent demo, this is what i remember from playing the first demo..)

Quote from pab_ATR16 :All we need now is for someone with some influence at Google to slip these images into some empty spots in the Google Maps database, and all of a sudden we won't be racing on fictitious tracks any more.

Well, i pulled a few strings here and there, and so far i've got them to put Fernbay on..

Hopefully they will get the rest on there soon.

Ha, nice find hacker, works fine everytime here.

And i agree with Racer about adding an on/off option, and allowing us to paint it if we choose, if its not painted use the default carbon texture, if thats possible..
