and the company that made it also made a very famous, very different, very small car which was introduced in italy in 1954. it was also licensed built buy BMW and that version became much better known than the original.
So it's my turn to post then. Here it is, and it might be a little hard (but what do I know). In case it's really too tough, I can always post a pic where one can actually see the car
And to me historic means, not necessarily dead but not racing anymore. But according to some (one?) of the avatars it obvioulsy can also mean not racing formula 1 anymore
Edit: I just watched the video and had to remove both of the smileys. that video really made me sad
And besides, it's really funny how ppl claim things like "every real racer would say blah-blah". That is simply not true. I read comments of real racers stating one thing while others state the opposite regarding this incident . So there goes your "every". Nonetheless I think it discussions like this make ppl more aware, which is all you can ask for as in the end opinions will still differ.
I for one know that I'm often too cautious on overtaking and actually had someone once, quite some time ago, after we had a nice race, say to me that I need to be more aggressive and that I should not have backed off on a certain occasion when he tried to pass me. Problem was, I knew he was way faster than me, and I hadn't realized that he was just playing around with me, sort of testing me out. So, yeah, I'm working on that - if only I had more time to race .
Another thought just crossed my mind when I was walking the dog:
Montoya is pretty far on the inside approaching the turn, which therefore was pretty sharp for him, much sharper than for Rosberg, obviously. Yet, Montoya was going the same speed if not faster than Rosberg all the way into the turn. So, the question would be, how could that possibly work out? I guess it couldn't and I therefore think, Montoya was going too fast and was way too optimistic in attempting to pass there.
It's not OT. That's exactly what this thread is about: Overtaking.
And I must say, Rosberg really did not give much room, but if Montoya had turned in a little more (which he probably tried but couldn't due to the curb which unsettled his car), there would have been just barely enough room for both of them. So, yeah, racing incident, of course. But that was clear all along, as the incident never was under investigation.
lol. it seems you're a little obesessed with slow guys causing accidents .
but honestly, I'd say it's the 71 causing the accident. He wasn't paying close enough attention to the guy in front of him, and when he noticed that he was about to hit him, he swerved too violently and hit the guy next to him. as a result he flipped. it looks as though the slow guy in the blue overall was only trying to avoid the one with yellow helmet who was all over the track. But of course, I'm not a real race driver, so what do I know
First of all, LFB in real Life is not dangerous at all. As was said before, if you've gotten used to it, it's just as safe as RFB. Taxi drivers do it all the time to stress both sides of the body a little more evenly (erm, bad example as far as safety goes - Taxi drivers are dangerous ). I used to LFB all the time in my good old automatic Nissan Sunny, but I don't do it anymore as my good old Audi 80 has manual gear box (measly four gears, actually). In LFS I LFB as I feel it is much easier and faster, as said before.
About heel-toeing in LFS: I don't know if it's just me, but I don't think it would be very effective, as there's virtually no way I could get my right foot on the gas-pedal properly and controlled while fully pushing the breaks. Might be that I'm not loose-jointed enough (very likely) or I need to set up the pedals on my FFGP differently, so that I would have full break power when the pedal is only half compressed, or something - don't know, but I guess I'll keep LFB. Unless I should get a clutch pedal or the G25 one day (not very likely) .
Here's a girl currently keeping me from playing LFS (see attached pic).
And before anyone starts to make silly jokes referring to weird sexual behavior: no, she is not my girlfriend, just a girl and a friend. And I'm sure, my human girlfriend (no pictures will be posted) wouldn't approve on anything further - and neither would I .
