The engine for the mod and the “Shift A” sound. Example: the B18C from an integra typeR 1797cc 8600Rpm redline 197Hp @8000rpms 135 FTLB of torque @5700rpms. Tuning the sound for it to sound realistic and feel realistic
Or a Spoon built B18 with more power and more torque 210 Hp and 147 torque
Devs: can we please have rev bounce and rev limiter for launches added to engine modding. There was a lot of tweakers over the years that had both. Where you select what RPM it’s limited in neutral. And for rev bounce you select how many rpm’s bounce and how fast it bounces.
These are both highly wanted in the community for a long time specially for sound and for drag racing or drifting.
If it’s not too much work maybe add like vvti or vtec technology control so like when the power comes on at peak torque. This is less desirable but if you can easily make it that would be amazing!
INTRODUCTION
Hey to all of you Moders and tweakers!
I’m making this thread for custom engine and engine sound requests
I know for some people it takes time to get the sound, the specs, and the feel they want to drop in their mods/tweaks.
Some people have been making amazing cars but maybe the engines and sounds have not been perfect or they not been able to match a in real life car/engine performance and numbers.
I’m willing to help the community with this so you can focus on building amazing and high quality mods.
Request Procedure
-Send me private message here on LFS. Or on Discord RBunny#8456
Topic just say the car is based on or the engine is based on
-Must provide video clip
-Web links regarding engine specs would be grateful
-If it’s a custom engine please be very very specific about power and what is similar to
Engines and sounds created so far
Mods I’ve made sounds or engines for:
Tommy28
Dorito-GTO

RB4 TimeAttack Spec
XR Promod
And some private mods….
Wow this mod is really getting wings and taking off (no pun intended) love that rear diffuser. Just question those engine specs is that what you want? Peak torque and peak HP all the way at the top of the rev range? Not going to be sluggish during take off?
So the R version of this will be for rally? Or will this race too vs XFR? Looks good man! And good luck with the object count! Tough to stay under 66,000 when you want details
Of course no worries about the layout editor let’s finish the vehicle mods and finish the new tire models and game. I just didn’t know exactly what this layout square was until now, thanks for clearing that up! Thanks again for everything that has been added we been racing with some of the mods and wow you just can’t believe this is LFS, but it is and it’s amazing. Some people still have lots of work to do for sure with their mods and some are knocking it out if the park from the start. Thank you Devs!
@Developers with this configurator, will we be able to build a track from scratch, with pavement, elevation changes, grass, curbs, apex, etc? Since we have vehicle mod configurator, will we have a full track mod configurator as well?
Hey drove this car for an entire race and even with road supers it keeps up with the transAm Camaro MOD problem is the clutch is too weak! Need to be able to handle some power and aggressive shifts while racing.
Besides that the handling is great!
Yes the wings needs work. The rims could be a bit smoother and have lug nuts not center lock wheels. And maybe make bumper more aggressive. Make interior more realistic nice!
I like the idea of this version of the big power LX more than the other 1 with just a V8 swap… but it still needs a lot more detail work the way the wing is mounted on both front and rear looks just tacked on… and what is this FX made for? Is has a fart Can exhaust stock body kit with a GTR wing???? Bit rice much
Haha ok everything you said make sense, this is going in a great direction! But again… if you knew how to have different modes like roof or no roof like LX models wouldn’t that be cool or even just a targa top… it still has a roll cage right @Scawen how do we get the different settings like LX and GTR cars got for the tire settings
Wow love this idea old touring car style! Couple things to mention, what is the weight balance? That might be affecting the steering FFB. Make sure the engine is longitudinal and it’s pushed back in the engine bay like a front mid engine layout (engine between front axle). Please please please allow street tires for this car. This would be fun with road supers restricted to like 300-350 HP for a slower class fun race or even to slide it around some 😉
Just wondering… the car is going to have a solid roof or is it going to be removable like LX models? And will it have a crazy looking hood scoop like the McLarens LT or the Pagani race models?
Cool name idea! Just waiting for next update. Hopefully XST has Type X body kit, XSR has some JGTC style body kit. And the XSD has like a BN style body kit
Only request I have about this AMAZING MOD! Is just the engine, it has that XFR sound to it which I think maybe go to a more dramatic change something more street sound, but also aggressive since we can’t have anti lag or crackle sound. The gear wind is normal since it’s rally style transmission. I agree on the wheels make them smaller 17s. I can’t wait for the body to be completed looks perfect
Scawen is there anything we can do about steering lock and steering degrees? When set to 45 degrees max steer lock steering turns now to 900. Now when set to anything past that the vehicle steering wheel can not be matched to racing wheel. I have Thrustmaster T300 turns to 1080 and when max steer lock is set to 60 the in car game wheel turns to around 1360. No way to properly match wheel. I put it at 50 degrees steer lock and that is like 1013 degrees in at wheel, but it’s more than that also. It gets confusing and sometimes the last 180 degrees the wheels turn very rapidly trying to match my inputs on wheel to the in game wheel.
By the way I don’t think anyone noticed LX cars now have 45 degrees lock! Tested that today that was amazing! Thanks Scawen!
Only thing I’d say is maybe 265 front for both FZR and XRR should have the 60 degrees lock.
Maybe just 255 for the FZR since it’s rear engine (rear heavy) felt like had to turn up the front wing Downforce quite a bit to get any grip, I was able to get setup decent enough (245 front 295 rear) but about 5 of us were all asking our selves why only 245
We found 295 rear tires being about the perfect balance. 305-325 driftable but you know just a bit of over kill. For full power no restriction 295 on both cars was just the right amount. We wanted to balance it out more with more front tire 265 front would be more balanced grip levels
