Spa, Suzuka and the new Turkey circuit are the only good ones left, if you ask me. Yeah, Turkey's a GREAT track even if it was designed by that sad excuse of a track designer called Hermann Tilke. The same man who raped Hockenheim, Imola and who designed Sepang, Shanghai... tracks I'd drop a bombshell into. illepall
I did. And I'll give you that... Hill almost won in the Arrows, which would have been history hadn't his engine not blow up on the last lap. Still, old Vilnoo was more entertaining to watch, plus Hill faded much quickly than Villeneuve. Have to admit Jacques has been decent this year, even if Heidfeld is kicking as arse.
I agree. Definately not as good as Schumacher, Hakkinen, Senna, Prost, Mansell... however I think he's better than what Damon Hill ever was. Hill was useless. illepall
Fernando Alonso wouldn't be a fair comparison since he's so young. But he's on his way to being the youngest Double World Champion ever it seems...
The flex, I think, varies from track to track config. On Monaco they allow a lot of flexibility to the chassis because the track is so twisty, but on something like Monza (lots of straights) they use a much more rigid chassis. I think.
Do a quick Shift+N. It will disable the sound, and will give you a big FPS boost when surrounded by cars at the grid and at Turn 1. It works for me and my computer is old too (PIII 800 mhz, 512 RAM, Radeon 7500) As long as I hit the straight at Blackwood, I press Shift+N again and I get the sound back.
The Formula V8 car has like 700 hp per ton. An actual Formula 1 car has like 1500 hp per ton. Also, the tires on Formula 1 cars are wider and the aerodynamic grip is much higher.
So, with all due respect, what the hell are you talking about? illepall
Being a Formula 1 fan, I'd love to see one of the last F1 V10 3.0 models.
The bad thing is that these cars have such crazy HP figures (around 950 HP, something like 1500 Hp/ton) that they use TCS in the races... yes they are allowed. So the TCS would have to be programmed and embedded into the car. And with TCS and all they'd be a bitch to drive!
Another thing is that there's very few spots on the tracks in the game where you could really let such a beast go wild. Unless the programmers put an imitation of a real track like Spa Francorchamps or Suzuka...
