I did the [post=825332]redline values[/post] some time ago, don't know if they're still correct.

Quote from UnknownMaster21 :hm...well usually team names are longer than 6 characters, but no worries, thanks for answer, it was only a suggestion, maybe later at some point then...maybe...

Team NAMES but not abbriviations (tag), you're not supposed to put the entire team name in there.

You're not supposed to run LFS_restart.exe, run LFS.exe instead

Quote from Tomba(FIN) :Feel free to try You're all hypocrites. Well, didn't expect anything else from lfsforum. Seems to be in fashion nowadays.

btw, still laughing at that pic. I would reward the guy by making my day.

You obviously don't even understand what hypocrisy is

Wouldn't that make it more likely to get vandalized?

So you're saying the character shouldn't shower and shouldn't have sex because the player could be a nerd? You're saying they should rip the storyline apart because someone as childish as you might be playing it? Someone with a girlfriend who won't allow you to have girls in your MSN contact list

Quote from Takumi_lfs :They wouldn't need sex in game if nerds were more social.

It's not about the player, it's about the game character.

Quote from jibber :Shower scenes, sex scenes... the devs must be virgin nerds. This game seems to be horrible...

Showering and sex, two very, very common situations, so how does this make one a nerd? I salute them for having the testicular fortitude to put it in their game. If anything, those social taboos are nerdish and silly.

I also provided you with the solution, the OGRelay. You could ask BoyGTA for his batch to run OGR, CSR and LFS (and optionally, the revlimiter).

Quote from samforey12345 :Tried googling that too no avail as well.

Read it, comprehend it, have a lightbulb moment
From the blurry photo I can tell it's an ASUS EAX1650 Pro, the 256MB version. No googling, it's all right there on the label in plain text

You did read the post before downloading it, right?
Where it is (i.e. which directory) does not matter, but it requires Python 2.6 and yes, of course you have to run it

Its location does not matter, but I recommend an addons/ directory inside your LFS dir, for CSR as well.
Obviously LFS needs to send OutGauge data to port 6699, so configure OutGauge (near the end of your cfg.txt) to look like this:
OutGauge Mode 2
OutGauge Delay 1
OutGauge IP 127.0.0.1
OutGauge Port 6699
OutGauge ID 0

Don't expect anything, just enjoy and appreciate what you get. That's how LFS works (fairly well, all things considered)

Simply put: CSR is old, there was a minor change in how LFS communicates with external applications and now CSR does not "understand" all of it. To work around this, I have [post=1329031]written a little script[/post] that goes inbetween LFS and CSR, translating new to old on the fly. It isn't as easy to use as CSR alone, but once configured, it's only one application more to run.

It's because the OutGauge packet changed slightly in Z25, use the relay script with just one entry (port 35555 by default) and format conversion turned on.

If that's the reason, I'd urge you to simply read up on STL containers and use them instead of (C-ish) pointer arithmetics. They're very easy to use, practically like an array (including the [] operator, which they overload)

Quote from BoyGTA :Hey morpha, can you help me to get to work rev limiter too? It uses port 11222 I think.

I run og_realy, then CSR and then REV limiter and when in LFS, the python windows give me some error that it can't set more than 1 port to 6699 or something like this.

Thanks in advance.

Open og_relay.py in a texteditor, find FORWARD_TO and change it to
FORWARD_TO = (
(35555, 0, False, csr),
(11222, 2, False, None),
)

Run the script only once, it will forward to all ports added to the FORWARD_TO list.

Yes that would have been my recommendation, but Dygear wanted a low-level, constant access time implementation (a hashtable essentially). Vectors would allow that but at no benefit over a pre-allocated array.

Quote from obsolum :Hmm, those are all custom sounds in that clip, no? And it has brake squeal as well, how does that work? AFAIK there isn't any "braking" soundfile in LFS? Is the engine sound custom as well?

Brake squeal is a compromise, it can't actually detect whether the brakes should squeal or not because LFS does not provide the necessary data. So what it does is squeal depending on the speed and brake axis.
Skid samples, wind and starter motor samples are custom as well, but within LFS, not CSR.

The engine sound is a V10 pushrod, supposed to sound Viper-like. I'm now using a V8 instead, though still not quite what I want. Sadly it's rather difficult to obtain good quality samples of perfomance engines

Quote from Tomba(FIN) :

I guess that is bad too then

No, I mean 41ms is not too bad either, except for InSim hosting. Ideally the InSim application should be running on the same machine as the LFS host it's connecting to, because latency matters rather a lot, depending on the application.
