First of all, i doubt anyone would want to do this.

Secondly, you will have to prove you have an S2 licence.

I also don't think Mike realizes that to get a car (RWD car of course...) to oversteer mid corner when in 2nd or 3rd will require quite alot of power, especially when already quite high in the rev range. In fact, letting off the power quite aggressively is what usually coaxes the car into oversteer mid corner.

That's strange. While I'm not saying i disagree with you, i can definitely notice the cars weight shifting about when taking corners, especially in FWD's as you will notice that on alot of them (The JCW Mini Cooper S does this alot.), one of the rear wheels will lift on heavy cornering, and the corresponding front corner will dip down, which is pretty realistic.

One thing that does bug me a little about FM3's weight physics, is the weight transfer when doing drift transitions. If you have a car with standard or soft suspension, then the weight transition seems pretty realistic in the way the car will "bounce" as you skid to a stop. As soon as you put race suspension on however, the cars seem to have no body roll at all. This would probably be the case if it was something light like a Honda Civic with race suspension, but i think that any type of suspension would struggle to stop my drift Porsche Cayenne from having any sort of body roll. It weighs over 2 tonnes IIRC.

BUMP

Anyone still playing this? If any of you have completed it, is it still good to play online?

I've seen this for sale brand new for £20 in GameStation, so i will be buying it tomorrow. I play quite a bit of FPS on PC, but i have only ever played one FPS on console, and that was CoD:WAW, so i expect i will be getting killed in OF2....alot.

No, your right Senn. When in the air, the cars do not have much weight. I don't know if you can see it in the video clip, but the yellow car lands on the blue MX5 which fully compresses the suspension.

It's the same story when jumping. The cars seem to be able to get off the ground very easily, even if the jump is small. When they land, they also land very softly with no fuss at all, but the sounds (bumpers cracking, etc.) make it sound like the landing is harder than it actually is.

Luckily, the cars weight seems to be pretty spot-on when driving.

Are you stupid, or just completely ignoring what people say?

YES, the trailers are rendered. Is it not extremely obvious? Just LOOK at them. Yes, consoles can chuck out some pretty decent Graphics nowadays, but nothing like that. Like i said, it's also obvious due to the fact that alot of the trailers feature footage with EXACTLY the same cars at the EXACT same camera angle with the cars doing the EXACT same speed, only with added objects, like that plane for example. This proves there pre-rendered scenarios that they have made and created, and they have just re-opened them and fiddled with them a little bit.

And the video you posted of the Menus is gameplay yes, but just with upped Graphics and some animations from the pit crew, so i don't know why you find that impressive. Games have been doing that for years.

And just to add, stop using the demo's file size as an excuse. Just because it's 200mb in size does not mean it's "stipped down" Graphics wise. The Graphics you see while playing are pretty much what you will see in GT5. If your expecting the Graphics in the time trail demo to be drastically different to GT5's, then don't expect a release date this side of 2015.

Cut the crap guys. All the "thanks for the info" bullcrap is getting a little old now. Just ignore the thread if it's no use to you.

I copied all the information from the Wiki link you posted for the indicators, but for some reason, it puts the indicator buttons my the top buttons on my shifter, when i want them on the wheel buttons?

I got the shifter to work correctly however, so thanks for that.

Can anyone help with the indicator part?

    Oh come on.

You really believe that is all in-game footage? I would quite happily bet a fiver that pretty much none (if any) is actual in-game footage, whether that be a replay or not.

I bet even the GT5 addicts in this thread would admit they think it's render footage.

E: And just to prove it's all rendered, compare the newer trailer linked a few posts back, to the older one you just posted. Notice how alot of the scenes like the City one and Airport strip one are exactly the same as each other in terms of car and camera placement, only with little things added like the plane? Proof that there just render scenes saved onto the devs harddrive.

    *long post*

I had a fantastic day today. Me, my girlfriend, and pretty much my entire family spent the whole day drinking, eating, watching TV, playing board games, and generally chilling out. In all honestly, it's been one of the few days where i have lazed about and actually enjoyed doing it! Usually, if i spend the day doing nothing when i have days off, i get bored very quickly and feel like doing something, but today was not like that. I genuinely feel incredibly chilled out right now, and it feels like all my stress and pains from this year have all washed away. Maybe someone spiked me drink?

We all decided to open our presents at Midnight. It was great. It took us just over 3 hours to open them all, as there was 15 people here at the time.

Some have gone back to my dads house now. Some are still here, including my younger cousins who are still running round the house with there new presents at 5 in the Morning. Aren't kids great?

I will be going to bed in the next ten minutes, and i will be sending the kids to bed soon too. The plan for tomorow is to get everyone back from my dads over to my house, then we will spend the day together drinking/chatting/messing with gifts, while me, my dad, and my girlfriend cook the turkeys (Yes, you read right. Turkey(s)!). We will be starting to cook the turkeys at 10am or so, and it should be done around 6pm, which would be perfect. It will be the first turkey that i have cooked by myself, so i hope i don't mess it up, but my Dad will be helping and he is a fantastic cook, so it should go ok.

After tomorrow, everyone will still be staying at mine and my Dads house right up until 2nd or 3rd (somewhere around there...) so that we can spend New Years Eve together. We've not planned anything over those few days inbetween, as this time of year is meant to be spent relaxing, but we plan a few "day outs" to places to keep the kids entertained. Saying that, they should be bloody entertained with all the stuff they got this year! I have no idea where they will keep it all. Crazy.

Talking of Christmas presents, here is what i got (just to keep on-topic ).

New Logitech G25. Shifter broke on my previous one, so my girlfriend got me one as there going VERY cheap right now!
The usual stuff like clothes, money, a pair of trainers. etc.
    Some music CD's and DVD's.
    Chocolate! Yum.
Lot's of things for my RC buggy. I have not used it in a while, and needed these things to freshen it up. I will be getting it out again in the snow!
    Lava Lamp.
    Electric Shaver / Razor combo.
Multiple wash kits / Aftershave gift sets. I think there trying to tell me something...
    Lot's of AutoGlym stuff.
    Xbox 360 Games.
    Xbox 360 Accesories.

And for my Girlfriend, i got her...

Clothes and some Lingerie. Oooo aaarrrrr.
    Makeup / Perfume giftsets.
    Chocolate.
    Shoes.
    DVD's / Music etc.
    COD6 MW2 for PC.
    Hair curler thingys...
    Jewelry.
New phone / Phone Case / Speaker Dock / Mini Printer.
I also bought her a Lava Lamp exactly the same as the one she bought me, as i accidently saw it in the bedroom. She was confused...lol

In all seriousness, i was really considering buying her an Engagement ring. I won't start all the "She's the love of my life" blah blah crap, but she does mean alot to me. I decided not to after having a discussion about it with friends & family. We all agreed that we are both too young at the moment, and i can tell when i have discussed it with her in the past that she isn't too keen on the idea at the moment either, despite how much she loves me. It's basically the same reason we wouldn't have kids at the moment. Too young, and we need to concentrate on other things first, like our jobs and keeping up with bills.

One day though chaps. Mark my words. One day.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year all! Love you! xxx

Quote from shaun463 :Sorry, the car I was talking about was a Cougar with a ST200 engine in it. My dad's fault for not giving enough detail about the car he wanted to buy. I am still pretty sure that this guy isn't a liar - http://www.aboutmycar.com/stor ... -car-ford-cougar-1092.htm

I know your only a child, but do you not understand what i am saying? The ST200 Cougar was NEVER, EVER put into production. The guy in the link you posted above has probably been misinformed about his car, just like you was about your dads.

Anyway, I am done with this discussion now. It's meant to be about GM and there other factors, not Fords. I have taken it off topic enough.
