Regarding people not turning up, I was thinking what can be done... very little I suppose.

Except NDR have one trick;
They organise so many different leagues, they could state that a no-show would affect a racers application to future leagues. Why give the place to someone who signs up early, but has previously not turned up elsewhere without notice?

After nearly 6 years enjoying my previous Alfa GTV, I've had to upgrade as I have an addition to the family on the way
I've bought an Alfa Romeo GT. Not much slower than the GTV even though it's a diesel, but a lot more comfortable.

Another aspect is the impression that autos are for the old / disabled

Get the Alfa!
(from a man with an Alfa, loved it for 6 years and about to buy another Alfa)
The cars are great, it's just the dealerships caused most of the bad impressions for people. If you find a good dealership / independant garage then you're laughing.

Quote from Wilko868 :Ok, all PM's have been sent to ACTIVE drivers. As there are 28 active drivers, 4+ reserves will DEFINETLY be invited to race, so keep your eyes checked for the amount and details on this thread at 7:45.

Thanks

7:45 ?
surely you mean 18:45 UTC?

I recently got Flight Simulator X. I was forever checking eBay for a cheap deal, but I wanted the deluxe version for the extra aircraft. Then I found CEX (second had shop, I've bought a couple of mobiles from them before) had the Gold version (deluxe + acceleration) for the same price as the basic version £15
If you're in the UK check out http://www.cex.co.uk/search/in ... ispostback=1&mode=buy

I've tried and failed to configure my G25 pedals as a rudder, since the clutch and accel pedals have similar stiffness. Anyone else been successfull with this?

I'd like to give a plee to those that didn't have a good first event to stick with it. South City was always going to be tight and awkward
There's good racing to be had here

I'll be using this one.

An interesting penalty in past seasons of Road Sport Cup was 'let the driver by, or face being placed behind them in the finishing results'. So if the victim didn't finish, the one who caused the accident is also unplaced.
Bit harsher than +10 seconds

I'd just like to submit my humble vote for a day change with RSC. Fridays and Saturdays are for socialising, so any other weekday evening or Sunday night would be my preference.

This is quite a change to the RSC under the new guardians.
I agree with what Falke said regarding mixing the two series with gaps.

I'm not familiar with previous seasons of the TBOC, but the RSC was always run on a Thursday evening. I'm not so easily available on Saturdays, which is a pity as I've taken part in all 4 previous RSC seasons
(but at least RAC+FZ5 league racing returns)

I used to use Novatech for ordering work stuff, but they are always beaten on price by Misco, so use them now (or eBuyer).

Forgive me if I've missed some important reason for double file, but wouldn't rolling starts be easier with single file instead? If you're only watching the car in front (instead of also having to watch to the side) then your position is more defined. Still have staggering, but not overlap maybe.

I don't have a solution for you why traction control doesn't work, but wanted to mention that all but 1 car (RAC) now don't have a shiftlight in the recent Z25 patch.
My unit has been working for years, but now the shiftlight does not work. I might have to change it's function to something like low fuel.

Welcome back Dave, nice to see you're still OK.
Seeing you brings back memories of old Boomerang Rapido days, which then turned into dEmporium Racing (later stopped). A few of those drivers then formed multi-sim RSC Motorsports (also stopped, am I jinxed?)
Since found a nice family of friends with T7R

The G27 is an evolutionary improvement over the G25 (got one), but not worth it for the price differences you found between them.

If you're buying a new PC, I'd say nearly all are capable of running LFS, you just need to invest a bit more if you're planning on super resolution. You might consider triple monitors, which LFS is about to support in next official patch.

Is it definite? According to Final Gear it doesn't seem certain.

And how many servers at the moment use anything but bright daylight and no wind?
If dynamic weather and lighting came along, I fear it would be a brief experience before most return back to hotlap conditions.

Guinness Bitter ! (Green can)
God I miss that stuff, very easy drinking and makes a great session beer (all night). I can't find any nowadays, I think it's not imported to UK very much, pity.
Caffreys used to be quality but then they changed the recipe to make it weaker and not as strong tasting.

Would you be allowed to direct the airflow onto vanes on an axel? (similar to a paddle steamer)
I don't know if this would provide more thrust compared to just exhausting air.

I thought the standard practice is to go
Y - Z - AA - AB - AC... BA - BB - BC...
Just like the column headings in Excel. So they won't run out and it doesn't force Scavier to make an official release.

The transformer must match the voltage required by the G25 - Check
The transformer must be able to provide the current required by the G25 which is 1.75A
A transformer that can provide more will be suitable, the current drawn is dictated by the connected equipment, it will pull as much as it needs. So this larger transformer will run cooler and therefore maybe last longer.
(day job = transformer designer )

It doesn't say on my G25 transformer, but I assume the d.c. output is smoothed and regulated.

Quote from adam0bmx0 :Can anyone else confirm this is suitable before i buy it?

The output appears suitable for a G25. This transformer can supply up to 2.5A which is OK since the G25 needs 1.75A
