Thanks for the comments/feedback guys!

Smax, thanks as well, didn't know that.
Is this somewhat better?

Here are a few shots I did for the SCCC guys, in reply to the "Looking for PS guy" thread. I don't know if they will use them as banners yet, but anyway, I thought I'll post some of the pictures.

(I know the flame looks a bit too white, but it was the same on the original "donor" picture, and I didn't have any other flame pic from a rear-ish angle that I could use.)

This one could use some lights effect or so to make it more exciting, but I need to study some night pictures to make that properly.

Quote from (SaM) :pdanev, mind that when you do a distance blur, you dont get the track around the real wheel blurred, while the rear wheel isnt (same distance).
Only the stuff actually behind the car should be blurred. Or else if you want to blur the track this close, you gotta blur the car too.

Ahhh crap. Of course, you are completely right. Didn't notice that I got that part blurred as well, I didn't mean to.

Thanks, gonna fix that.

Came across this unfinished picture hidden in a corner of my hdd, don't even remember what my original plans were with it.

Wrapped it up quickly with a few quick finishing touches, nothing special, but not too bad.

Rain picture is nice, although that must've been some really really heavy rain. Normally you can't (or you can but barely) see rain drops on such shots. Nevertheless its a nice edit.

Spurs edit is also pretty decent.

I too confirm that the majority of our races is clean, but this race was a disaster indeed. 2nd race from the season, everyone still warming up probably.

The car on the right looks a bit out of perspective, but otherwise nice work.

^ What he said. Lights are a bit overkill, a bit smaller, and with lower opacity would be better imo.

Ah I see. My max resolution with full AA/AF is 1280x1024, even for that I have to hook up an external monitor because my laptop supports only 1024x768, and LFS doesn't allow it to go higher.

@ vendetta, thats a nice shot.

I know what FSAA and AF is, don't worry. I was just curious, because as I mentioned once, I'm on a 64mb ati laptop, which doesn't produce anything close to this quality, even with maxxed out card & LFS settings. So I was just curious what card he has, because his images are all really good quality.

Don that's some nice stuff, simple, yet effective.

What graphics card do you use? Do you use some sort of smoothening technique in ps on the car, or is your graphics card just so damn powerful?

Yep, works now. Thanks!

I go to LFS Racers Database -> LFS Team Search, select the team I want to edit some info on, and I constantly get a "A page-load timed out occurred". No matter which day, what part of the day etc, always the same story.

Browser: Avant (IE based, simple IE does the same error as well)
Team Finalgear is the one I wanted to edit, if that's of any importance.

Any ideas?

Yep! Looks really nice.
Constructive criticism: probably could blend in with the car a bit better.

Quote from deggis :Well most the these edited pics look good just because they are EDITED.

Of course full FSAA and AF helps a lot when taking the screenshot.

Yep, nice FSAA and AF make a huge difference. When I take shots and edit them I almost always have to put a little blur on the car because all the lines are pixelish/jaggy.

Of course editing colors, creating a depth of field effect, rain, glowing brakes etc etc make the shot look real nice, but I really hate it that I can't leave the car on the shot itself untouched, because it looks like crap.

Man, I'd like to have the videocard some of you guys use. I'm on a laptop with a 64mb ati with a 2003 driver (tried omega etc, not much of a change), which even on max settings isn't 1/2 as good as some of the shots I see here.
