Anyone setting up a session? :P

Just tried my first race in the williams, what a mess, at the start i got a good start guy infront brakes, i brake 1 car dives down the inside over the dirt, then someone on the outside decided to clip my wheel on the way past, ruined the car, spent 2 mins in the pits, get back out guy makes a mistake and i get his slipstream up to the corkscrew and brake pretty late in the corkscrew on the outside, he divebombs then goes spinning everywhere through the corkscrew and i just avoided him.

Next lap going up to the corkscrew again someone made a mistake and i was closing in someone span at the top of the corkscrew infront of us so we slowed down and just as we're passing the guy infront manages to spin with his front wing touching the other guys rear wing so i have a blocked path and nowhere to go!!!!

Not impressed at all... Demo has better standards than this.

F1 car is awesome, especially at Laguna. Best time of 1.06.3 so far i could knock maybe a sec off that i think.

I keep buying 1 month then realising that it feels like a bag of shit and not playing again!

I quite like the idea of 1 class would be different! BTW i just tried GT0 FZR at bl1 on bawbags hl set and all i can say is wow! I'd reccomend anyone to try it.

Ok i have to admit now i got my wheel setup a bit better and a little more time in the car the GT0 FZR does feel alot better and it's actually quite nice to have a lot of power under your foot but i still don't think the FZR's tyres are made for it and thats where i was struggling, has anyone done a full stint yet?

I don't mind opinions of people, as that is what this testing is about, but when people run 5-10 laps on half made sets (mainly Q sets) and then comment on how things should be changed it really makes me wonder. If you run a Q set (R2s) with this new GT1, you probably won't feel any change compared to the old GT1s. If you create a race set and actually attempt to run a stint (even a partial one) you will see a complete difference on how you must setup your car and how you must drive the car. The XRR might "seem" faster, or might "seem" easier, but in a stint it will struggle trying to keep the heat at a decent temperature when in the heat peak. The FZR can run R3/R4 which helps it during that heat cycle and gives it that advantage it needs due to the fuel concern.

Anyways, keep testing and try to not do just Q laps, as that isn't very helpful data at all.

I can see what your saying, i'll give it another bash later but i still don't find it balanced at all, you've just chucked heaps of power at it and told it to sort itself in rl you'd change a whole load of things to help it cope better but might be the setup or i've not taken enough time like you said but i still haven't seen a good reason as to why this was done? Only it made made to be more like a real GT1? Real GT1's aren't GT2's with 300bhp chucked in there.

The FZR didn't feel good at all when i drove it, i think it just wasn't made for that kind of power and tbh you can't really tell the difference in a straight line that much, who wants to spend alot of time in a car thats not nice to drive and difficult?

You'll just have to wait then to see what we mean, if you think LFS is good as it is now, wait 3 years down the line with no development and you will see the type of change we have been through but some nobber (you) will always say theres nothing wrong and it's better than it ever was.

You say you know what it was like but obviously you don't because in one of the above posts your experience of what it was like was what everyone else had said about the "good old days" and now you claim to have seen what it was like? Contradict yourself a little why don't you.

It's a shame the devs can't see that they have pretty much killed something they have put so much time and effort into making.

omg that greg murphy lap was just awesome, never seen a tin top move like a v8 does, its when i watch these kind of vids i realise iracing's physics are really not realistic!
