So since I made a layout for deko, I should be able to just pass it straight into the race? Doesn't that sound completely unfair? Even if I had that ability, I wouldn't want to do it.
If someone made a constructive post that was against it, then that's fine. As I said previously I have no opinion on how this goes. Yes I made the layout, but that doesn't mean I stand behind it. I simply made something to deko's specifications that he talked to me with, and then modified it a few times with people in the server.
Ouch, sorry that I called you out on something you said and you feel offended by it. It really hurts me you don't like a layout I made for deko as well.
And sorry, I didn't receive the memo where insults and "its bad" is considered constructive feedback. It's sad when Ray can construct a better post. You may be my team mate but the layout was made for deko, not for you or anyone else. If you are not a fan of it or believe it will cause issues, then tell your team manager and have them vote no. It's as simple as that.
Like I said, lets please keep this civil. There is no reason to insult others and put anyone down, as it just makes you look silly and gets nothing done, delaying this process even further.
It was always brought up, just the admin decisions were always "it is too late" or "we don't like layouts". KY3b was stupidly difficult to get them to actually race it. FE4 was easier but the amount of versions that were made was stupidly high as well. (All 3 of those series were a different admin team)
I understand people don't want to lose a spot they have an advantage over others on. Both Isaac and Imol said that today, but it isn't a valid excuse on why the new one is bad. Just like it isn't a valid excuse to complain without even testing it, as Jack and Kristi has shown.
Provide actual constructive criticism, not just random assumption or utter BS that tries to direct things in the way you want it. And please, don't say that corner is iconic, its always been a joke and has repeatedly shown that Eric makes circuits while being intoxicated.
EDIT: Just want to say I don't have any opinion on which way this goes, just want things to stay civil.
Did you have a wheel prior? The 599 car may seem easily controllable but its very hard to get a top time from without lots of practice or crazy raw talent. I'd say the top times also have setup changes done. I think I did a low 57 there after about 10 laps without any setup changes. I can promise you theres plenty of time left, as I'm no alien.
After driving the F40 so much everything else is going to feel boring. The 458 with semi slicks I already thought was good, but the new S3 version is epic once you start getting on the limit and you are constantly fighting the edge of the tires as it has no downforce.
Obviously it isn't old, and it has full blown slicks, but finding the limit is finding the limit and will almost always be fun. At least it isn't some FWD.
Also for G27 settings I use 100 gain with the bottom 3 settings as 5%, 10%, 20%.
It won't be like iRacing. You won't pay for individual items. Instead you'll pay for a bundle of them for probably the same price as a single iR track.
Quite humorous that people are complaining about a DLC that was announced many months ago when it was supposed to have Spa. The Ring has simply just replaced Spa in the DLC as Spa is now in the 1.0 version. The fact that it'll have 10 more cars coming with it is also nice and well worth the money.
If 1.0 is out by say, March, then what is wrong with a DLC 6 months after? Sounds just right to me.
The Russian guys time is clearly not possible. Not the overall time, but the sectors. My optimal is well into the 52s now after about 30 laps and I am still on the default setup with semi slicks (And I am far from a hotlapper). Rietveld has proven to be a really fast driver over the years so I wouldn't completely doubt his ability to run a low to mid 52.
Monza was the old news, Imola was the new. I want to say TonyG might have let it slip many months ago, because me and Boothy had already knew about it. Didn't know about the Imola one though.
And DP is an interesting one. He made a "hush hush" comment about GTC being removed before last season, but it was obvious for about 2 weeks prior.
Nothing wrong with GTRs being a series. I do believe however that having a series with longer than 6 hour races may be a bit far fetched in LFS' current state. Personally, I'd rather see a 6,6,12,6,6 league, and then have a 24hr race as their "premier event" which can attract as many people as possible (possibly using a qualifying format similar to real Le Mans etc).
For participation purposes, I can't see having a series last more than 6 races. LFSCART could have up to 8 simply because it is a "premier series", but that should be the only one.
