I,m not asking for content i really don't understand where you guys get that from .

All i,m saying is people will see a public announcement as a promise no matter how its worded and if you cant understand that you have your head in the sand.

Person A says this will happen some day , Person B is not wrong in asking when that day might be . Its that simple, yes person A has made no guarantees what so ever but the fact remains person B will ask from time to time whats happening.

I,m not asking for anything i just feel its unfair to have a go at the people who do , no matter how many times the same thing has been asked for.

Quote from tristancliffe :I think it's a massively difference. I plan to win my championship this year, but I can't promise it. I plan to have sex tonight, but I can't promise it. I plan to enjoy my lunch break in the sun today, but I can't promise it.

Since when is LFS 'out of date'?

There is a difference in that you don't print your plans on a website , and i,m sure your aware that when something is made public no matter how pie in the sky people will make the assumption that in some way it will happen or at least you will try to make it happen.

That is the situation that MacFox is talking about , and he is right there is no need to split hairs because we knew exactly what he was saying.

I find it so odd that we debate black is white over and over.

Quote from Flame CZE :The devs never promised that.

He is right though , the only signs of life is that the servers are not empty and people still post in this forum .

The signs of life are that the users are still active , i have said it before if your first point of contact with LFS was the official web site how could you not conclude that the sim essentially is over and out?

Would you upon looking at the date of the last update (thats website update) was years ago even bother downloading the trial or heading to the forums?

And before everyone jumps in and rips what i have said to shreds i am not asking for anything or whining about content .

Wrong.

They will wait and the whinge threads will carry on at there own pace unabated .

I am not in any way sticking up for the Devs but its there toy box and we will be handed out the odd plaything as they see fit.

Quote from Intrepid :err... maybe because they want to maintain full control over their product???

I would have thought content submitted and then vetted/modified and finally released by the dev team was control , that what i was trying to say.

I don't want the RF experience as i said ..

I,m well aware they don't want anyone else licking there lolly.

I find this the Dev's are not into mods idea most strange , look what the original version of Counter Strike did for Half Life . I,m not talking the RF way of modding as everyone knows as it just does not work.

Anyway its all be said a million times before in a million ways and to honest i wonder why we even ask the question or why people offer them anything .

It appears Eric is a figment of the imagination so why not accept and moderate well done or well thought out mods?

Wasted breath .

Quote from The Very End :There is no excuse for the track part, and that you have to agree on. One new track on 3+ years is not good enough, it's a buisness for crying out loud. I am not demaning anything, but as it is now it's LFS - Scawen's work. The physics and codes is his area, but what about the tracks? Why have there been nothing on many years? Does SO updates and BL updates justify 3+ years of work?

It would appear so ...

There not physics related so "they" cant use that excuse , personally i think Eric has left the building .

And yes i would very happy to be proven wrong .

A crash like Webber's was bound to happen with such a big difference in corner speed and overall lap times .

Poor judgement by Webber though (yes i am a Webber fan btw) he was racing some one as slow as a GP2 car and he should have picked the moment better , easy for me to say that though because i wasn't rocketing up Kovi's arse at 300KPH .

Anyways Kovi would have been in front of him for maybe a few corners at best so its hardly racing for position , unless you think the 50 meters of braking zone is worth defending that much.

Quote from Macfox :
  1. They should give a shit. Any business that ignores it's customers isn't going to last.
  2. All the excuses about tyre physics etc, doesn't explain the lack of content updates. We haven't seen a new track in (3+?) years.
  3. Adding a developer or tyre simulation/physics expert might delay the rumoured release, but the longer term benefits would make it worth while.

Lock the thread this man has said all that needs to be said.

I play very very rarely , i would rather play an even older game GTL nor because it drives better because it doesnt but it sounds and looks so much better .

Real tracks and real old cars is my cup of tea, even if the driving model is ordinary.

Mr PSI, Have seen this irl.

2sly4u, and this one too.

4daslutz and this one was the name of a boat owned by some hairy chested young men from the middle east..

All are quite "hektik" and "fully sick" as are the wants of a dorifto pilot..

To quote Samuel L Jackson "English motherlicker do you speak it" .

Your adsl lines must have been ordinary before you made the purchase? So why go ahead and buy a sim that is primarily an online experience ?

Quote from blackbird04217 :LFS isn't about running into barriers. :P Actually, it is something I try to avoid, staying on the track without collecting damage.

That is true but sometimes helpful people escort onto the barriers thus creating moonshots ..

Thats what i will always love about LFS , you still get shot into space for hitting a barrier yet we want the air inside the tyres simulated

Webber up there again and in front of his little mate , he doing quite well for a person as were told has no talent and is mediocre at best?

Well that is according to some of the experts on this forum

Hope we wins because unless theres a miracle we wont in the soccer..

Sick maybe but not dieing , needs an injection of updateacillin to keep the punters happy again though .

As for the rabid lick spittles all is well as its always been, because to think let alone say anything untoward is sacrilegious.

Well Tristan i do hope you don't make as many excuses in your own driving career as you do for Mr Vettle..

Must be hard to drive being one eyed

Quote from tristancliffe :They've found a good number 2 driver. Why sack him?

Actually he is a rubbish number two driver, too fast and wont lay down on demand , speaks his mind , is not a corporate clone and will not suffer fools gladly.

Not number 2 potential at all..

Race craft is not gifting your team mate position on the road, like all things in life you have to earn it to get it . Seb acted like a randy drunk he saw hole and thought thats mine, as it turned out some one else was using it at the time..

Lesson is don't stick your nose in unless your sure it will fit

Anyway's enough shit about Turkey.

Tristan do you believe a guy tied in the WDC in this day and age would be sitting on the grid in a damaged car?

I,m sorry but i cant believe the damaged chassis story , while the roll bar was completely visible .

F1 cars are scrutinized within an inch of there lives after and before an event , i cant buy Seb being put in a car with a busted chassis or the damage was so minimal as to not effect the performance .

There is no doubt Seb will become a greater driver than Mark as he has been invested in all his life in motor sport and he is young , capable and hungry .

Still Mark is not doing too bad for an old nobody as people keep saying, he has always punched well above his supposed weight..

"Christian the tires have gone off get Seb to drive in to me next lap"

Yep that sounds like what happened , and we forgot to mention it at the time or in the 250 interviews after the event?

The crash is done and dusted but it's interesting to hear RBR still trying to save SV's face , its frigging slimy imho.

I think and i could be wrong that the extra liter of fuel in SV's car is a load of shite, SV was flogging the arse out of the car just like the other three guys in the group. Jenny B and Loois couldn't save any extra fuel and they were holding station exactly like Vettle.

Personally i think it was RBR's spin control .

Webber acted exactly like a sportsman , as multiple people have already said Webber did not change his direction nor did he squeeze Vettel .

When you drive along a two lane highway and your sitting beside another car and you hook right and hit that car who's fault is that?

Vettel had a brain fart, played the tough guy and lost the gamble and what irks me the most is he is not man enough to at least concede maybe he was at fault too. Instead he dropped into infant mode with the hand signals and crying .

If its Webbers job to roll over every time Vettel comes close RBR should have the decency to tell Webber and the punters.
