I have known this girl for about a year but the last 2 months we have been getting the bus together, this has enabled us to make what I think is a good friendship, we tell each other everything. But, I have started to like her, she is a very good looking girl with a great personality. I have liked loads of girls before but not like I am feeling now. I am only just plucking up the courage to ask her out, but I do have the feeling she will say no, Hopefully she doesn't.

It is also like snake what you used to get on the old nokias, when you could go through one side and come out the other side.

Quote from shaun463 :"I was on the phone".

That can happen a lot especially when using the padal shifts on the back of the wheel.

I have what sounds a little stupid was the one which I used last night on a cruise server "Sorry my dog jumped up on my arm" which he did, obviously not all 4 legs but just his two front ones which caused me to go off to the right because I wasn't expecting it.

8GB is enough really. I was going to get a 16GB Touch but I know I wont use all the memory so I am getting the 8 gig instead. I like the apple players personally.

Quote from dawguk :Moar semi-interesting motor insurance related stats (see attached image).

However, this probably only proves that men have more spectacular accidents than women

It's most likely the woman causing the men to crash lol.

Everything I do to my car will be insured. It's not just 17 year olds who modify cars with body kits and so on. People in their 20s, 30s modify cars.

Quote from wheel4hummer :If you do use two batteries, it is good to have a battery isolator. These isolate the secondary battery from the starting battery so that you only run down the secondary battery while your car is off and the starting battery remains fully charged.

The van I posted early with the 6 subs has I think 3 or 4 batteries in the back for the power for the subs and amps, would it still remain the same as what you said, you only use the batteries when the car is off? Can't you just use the 4 batteries for the sound system and the starting battery for the rest of the car? Or wouldn't that work.

Quote from S14 DRIFT :Who said you wouldn't?

Whatever, I'm done with this thread, have fun on your 'sportsbike' that goes like 60 flat out

I know the top speed of them, I dont really care, it's better then a scooter. I am only keeping it for a year then I will be getting a car.

Quote from S14 DRIFT :However you're not. Not only is your bike limited by law to 30mph, but should you hit someone or have an accident in any way, shape, or form, you will be screwed

They aren't restricted to exactly 30mph, one of my mates bike would do 34mph(Digital speedo) when restricted obviously done a lot more when it was derestricted. Who said I would hit anyone, people on this forum always think of the worse, always negative.

Quote from S14 DRIFT :Olollololllllllllll

I used to do Motorcross as well. Yet when I first went to my CBT course, it's amazing how much you don't actually 'know', and it's some of the best advice you can listen to....

Shows how much you know.

In a 30mph zone, the limit is 30. Not 35. Not 32. 30.

Same for 40, 50, National, and Motorways.

Although there are times where the limits need to be adhered to less (i.e some nice twisty roads with a 60mph limit that can be happily taken at 75+, so you'd do around 70..)

But the two speed limits I try to TOTALY stick to, and often go 1 or 2 mph slower than are the 30 and 40mph limits. They're low for a reason.

Well in a 30mph zone you can do 33mph, 40mph zone you can do 44mph in. You are allowed to go 10% over the speed limit, so like I said above you are allowed to do 33mph in a 30 zone.

Quote from The General Lee :Sorry mate, I disagree. I can only see this ending in tears. Okay, bikes are fairly easy to ride, but we know his history. Okay, he used to race in motorcross and he 'one' a lot. Move over Rossi. His attitude is completely wrong. He isn't stupid, but just not mature enough to be allowed on our roads, I feel. I see enough dickheads on the road. Example: I was driving home to Devon from Nottingham the other weekend. I was in the middle lane of the motorway, overtaking some traffic. A boy in a Corsa undertook me, slammed on his brakes behind the vehicle I was overtaking, went to go onto the hard shoulder to overtake, decided not to and cut me up. When I glared at him, his mate in the passenger seat does down his window, leans out and start banging on mine.

There is enough stupidity on the road, enough uneducated drivers, enough dead 17 year olds. I really don't want Sam to be another number, no matter how I much I think he is a clown, I don't wish that on anyone.

The road is a very dangerous place. I am not making an immature comment, or atleast I don't mean this as a piss take of Sam, but do you really trust someone with a machine capable of 60mph, the same boy who rode his bike into a sign and sued the council for putting the sign in the wrong place?! It's because of people like Sam, I pay a crazy amount of insurance etc. What happens to the poor soul who may hit Sam when he is riding his bike as silly speeds? I can only imagine it won't be great for them, they won't be able to live with themselves for killing a poor young teenager.

This isn't really directed at Sam, but the amount of silly drivers on the road, that Sam will one day fall into.

Ok, there is some nice comments in there. Sorry about the spelling 'one' I had a teacher in school trying to look at what I was typing so I was rushing, I meant won, I wished I stayed at it. I am not going into the sign and we are no longer making a claim, it was wet leaves and a stone which must of been buried in the leaves which caused me to come off, but let's not go into that again, keep on topic.
I am by no means going to be a mupit on the road, my mate said he cant wait to get a car and tune the engine and drive fast, I am trying to get it into his head that he cant, there are other roads users and pedestrians around. I haven't said I will drive at stupid speeds, I will keep near the speed limit, for example. 30mph zone and do about 35 because no one sticks right to the speed limit, they always go a little faster. I also cant stand people who drive like mupits on the motorway, they try to drive fast but they cant drive well when driving fast.
I wont speed on the bike, I am not stupid. My Dad has even said if I find out or see you riding like a mupit the bike will be taken off me, but that wont happen as I will ride properly and respect other road users.

Quote from wheel4hummer :Yup, the closest possible unpainted metal surface is where you want to ground/earth the amplifier. Unless you have a secondary battery next to wherever the amplifier is. Then I believe you run a ground from the main battery to the secondary one, and just ground the amplifier to the secondary battery.

Ah I see, so would you put it on positive on the first battery like normal then on negative on the second battery, or do you just find a peice of metal on the battery? I will most likely have a battery in the back for mine as I am planning on having more than two but I know with even two you can just run it off your car battery and no need for 2.

Quote from The General Lee :Buy a car. Stop arseing about with your 60mph de-restricted. My car can do 85mph in 3rd gear. Soon, it will be able to do more.

Sam - Get a plain skid lid. Also, you don't work so I suggest you actually pass your CBT, get a bike and get all the gear before you think of chaving your bike up.

I will most likely buy my bike already de-restricted with exhaust, I got my mum to pay for my CBT so that wont come out of my pocket, well about £40 will as I agreed I will pay abit of it. I will most likely either get a plain black shoei or the red and black shoei's I like, they go well with the bike.

I will be getting a car, but I am just getting the bike to get me around without having to use the bus even though it is free for me anyway. I will save up for the car whilst I have my bike as I will be working and when I sell my bike if my Dad is kind enough he will give me some or all of it so I can spend it on my car. The reason I said if he will give me the money is because he is buying it

Quote from pearcy_2k7 :Ahh ive just rebuilt my little speedfight, had a 70cc engine put in and de-restricted was tempted by the 100cc but the 70cc was real cheap and fast enough seen as im getting rid pretty soon.

My mate has done something similar with his Speedfight 2, but he went for the 100cc engine and has got a big bore kit and a few other mods, it's quick.

I will be buying a second hand one, around 53 plate to 55 plate, not to expensive. There was a 98 RS50 on ebay which just had a new race engine put in for £650, I was thinking about it but you dont know how much the parts would cost for it if something needs replacing, may just get a near standard RS50 for the year, only needs to get me from A to B, cant stand scooters though so will deffently be getting a RS. I do like the RS2 Matrix's but they seem to be a little of the pricey side of things.

>_>

The price I said is ones I have seen going for, I think GT Motorcycles sell them at £2,500 to £3,000 I think, I wouldn't pay that anyway, I wouldn't buy one brand new just for the sake of a year anyway.
