Speaking of Clannad, there's going to be a second season (or movie) called Clannad: After Story. It will probably have a very sad ending to it based on the preview.
It always has to end badly to be epic doesn't it...?

That still doesn't explain how he has that same picture though, and your image links to his account. And if that's not your account, why does he have your picture and why did you link it from his account?
His grammar beats yours by miles and he has better arguing skills too.

I wish I could do that... but I have so little time.
I like it a lot, but it looks like the front right headlight on the car is missing. Oh and for the detail, maybe add the brakes inside the wheels and some of the engine in the gaps of the front grill and a radiator/intercooler in the bumper's gap.

If I were you I'd put what I like to do (in this case, being in front of my computer) in front of the treadmill so I can TRY to catch up and type or something. Then I'd set the treadmill faster everytime or something like that.

Quote from Ahriman4891 :Did anyone notice that gear changes and hand animations are exactly matched? Either he used auto transmission, or

Its manual since you can see the gear indicator going to "N" at times (probably has a g25). What GT5 does for upshifts is that in a couple hundred RPM before the redline, the hand moves to the shifter and when you shift it shifts (although you can't really see it moving the shifter). Also, if you look to the left of the gear indicator, it flashes a recommended gear number for the next corner and at that time, the hand moves to the shifter, ready for a downshift if you get off the throttle or brake. It looks crummy if you shortshift up or down because then it looks late. Actually it looks a bit crummy when the hand moves for a shift you don't want to do .

There should be a front-engined car that is about as fast as the RAC and FZ. The FZ is a powerful and heavy rear engined rear wheel drive vehicle that has a better top speed and is easier to handle than a RAC, which is mid-engined, has a good power to weight ratio, less mass, and it corners better than the FZ (if one can do it without facing in the direction he came from). Maybe the new car should be a near compromise of the two: More powerful than the RAC but less than the FZ and ligther than the FZ but heavier than the RAC.
To me, non-fictional cars are of a lower priority unless it can be another competitor of the RAC and FZ.

The FPS drop at start is normal if you are racing with alot of people or AI. This is because (I'm kind of guessing here) all the physics calculations for all the cars in the field have to go through the CPU. You don't need to worry about getting a better CPU or overclocking it because this is normal. This game is single-threaded so it only uses 1 of the 4 cores and hopefully one day we can utilize more cores.
But you might want to test some other graphic settings too. I had AA at 8xQ with supersampling and i got 10-15 fps on one spot in Blackwood. I changed the setting to multisampling and used 16xQ and I get a steady 60 FPS (I limited it to my monitor's refresh rate).
By the way, what kind of PC do you have? I know you posted the specs but is it custom-built or a brand name? Just curious.

Maybe the immersion that GT5 gives from its graphics got to him and now he thinks the game is godly...

Quote from M0RFIUS :ok well what would be a good free sim to compare it against??

Well, if you have a PS3 and its connected to the network, I guess you can compare GT:5P to it (since both are incomplete I guess). Mainly:

LFS >GT:5P in terms of physics and the related.
GT:5P <LFS in graphics.

Personally I'd go for LFS because it feels better than GT5P. I like a game that plays well, not look like it plays well. I mean GT5P isn't THAT bad but it feels "dead" when you compare it to LFS. The cars in GT5P don't feel as lifelike. They feel more numb and restricted by whatever the programmers did to it.

Yes, you can even put this game on a usb drive or thumb drive. I think that's slower though.

Does anyone know what Kyoto Animation is going to do after Clannad? It seems that episode 22 will be their last according to the preivew in 21 (and 22 will come out this week). I'm pretty sure they might make OVA's of Clannad but there is quite a lot of time before the 2nd season of Suzumiya Haruhi starts (will probably start by summer). Any info or thoughts?
Also, I can't wait for the 3rd season of Higurashi No Naku Koro Ni to come out because the very end of the 2nd season brought an interesting plot twist way before the actually story starts (oh boy!) .

I think some of the best ways to fill things in was using the quick select (not the magic wand one) and quick mask tool (since its really easy but takes a while to correct). Also tried using the Pen tool to make vectors but I don't know how to bend the line to make good curves nor do I want to set a billion points in a curve to make it look like one.

Well that's for photoshop. I think the pen tool in GIMP would also work very well since all you really need to do is set points in such a way that it makes shapes (again, sometimes the problem is bending those lines to make curves).

Ohhhh yes that's normal. Their setups are usually on the edge. You probably want to take advantage of that extra oversteer when you enter in the corner by entering in just a little bit faster without understeering. Dive in as far as you can in the corner and then add more throttle once you close in to the apex (quickly but smoothly).

Whoa, that's ugly, smearing??
Anyways, I upped my monitor's refresh rate from 60 - 75MHz and it definately does help with the blurring (sorry, I don't know what ghosting is...yet.) According to the manual it came with, it's recomended that I use 60Mhz with a 1440x900 screen size but I used 75MHz instead, and it runs very smoothly with less blur (its a cheap AMW monitor from Fry's but its still really good). Is your monitor running at max safe settings?

Edit: Well, what's wrong with helping a little? If I caused any problem then I'm sorry.

Yeah, basically all lcd's have blurring issues. According to an article at Gizmodo, its not only the refresh rate that causes the problem, its also the frame rate. So they came out with new LCDs that double the standard 60MHz to 120MHz (or fps. I don't know). I think its because LCD's today use the interpolation method where it freezes a frame in transition to the next one, rather than using a black frame (which kills the brightness of an LCD), and hopefully they are trying to prevent the blurring of the interpolation method by doubling the frame rate. I know the article aplies to LCD TV's but PC LCD's are pretty much the same (except not as briliant as the TV!).

Those numbers seem very reliable. Now I'm not so worried about how much power is left since that test rig has more and faster RAM and a faster CPU. Thanks a bunch for the help!
Now all that's left is a recomendation of a good PSU for the Dell if all else seems to fail.

I have no idea since Dell has a BTX case and supposedly uses weird connectors. Also, good BTX power supplies are hard to come by, or I might not be looking hard enough. And also, a very small amount of people have switched their power supply and they didn't tell what kind of PSU they used. It's probably because this computer was released so recently that few people did anything to it (otherwise it would void their warranty). I think the computer was first released by the end of summer, plus or minus a month or two, so I doubt that anyone but the people who don't care about the computer did anything to it.

The reason that I might want a different system (Dell XPS 630) is that you are able to overclock it with ESA, supports both Crossfire and SLI, has a nice power supply, comes with an 8800GT, and is ATX. The base model is about the same price as the XPS 420 that comes with 3GB RAM and and an 8800GT but would obviously perform better and is upgradeable on the long run. The only situation where I don't see it performing better is on CPU performance if someone put a QX9650 in the 420 and overclocked it with RMClock.

Hmm, well in a forum, one said that a 8800GT overclocked (g92, I'm assuming that's the new one) draws about 84W and in a test, a q6600 draws about 104W max. However, I'm still worried since I do have an LCD for Sideshow that I can't really disable (or I get the BSOD. Boo.), and an Optiarc DVD-RW drive that I have no knowledge about. According to a PSU calculator on Newegg, this PC would need at least 558W of power with an 8600GTS (wtf?), but this PC is using a 375W PSU and runs games very well. So confusing...
Power Supplies - Are they good enough?

A while back, I've bought a Dell XPS 420 and was very satisfied with it. However, seeing that the 8800 GT is a really good deal now, I have been wondering if the power supply that Dell has is sufficient to run it. Currently, it has a 375W power supply in it (that's about as much as I know so far) and it runs quite a few things already, such as the LCD on top for sideshow, a media card reader with a Bluetooth radio, an 8600GTS, and a modem (I have no idea why I didn't deselect that as an option). I've read on the internet that Dell has shipped these computers with a 375W PSU with an 8800GT when Nvidia states that 400W is the minimum for these cards. Some people feel its insufficient but others say that Dell rates their power supplies differently. To no avail, I did not find a clear answer so I'm asking you guys to help. Here are my PC specs if needed:

Dell XPS 420:
Intel X38 Chipset (BTX Motherboard)
Intel Q6600 @ 2.4GHz
Dell 3 GB Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM @ 667 MHz
Nvidia 8600GTS
7200 RPM 320GB Hard Drive

I feel that this Dell is quite limited because it does have an X38 chipset which could run the more recent processors but does not allow things like overclocking (there is one person who was able to get an XPS 420 to outperform a 720, with the exception of graphics since the X38 doesn't support SLI ). If there is no way I can upgrade it's power supply, I might as well send it back and maybe buy the new XPS 630 (which hopefully, is more upgradeable because it's motherboard looks like an upside-down nForce 650i SLI ATX motherboard, although I could be mistaken).

I would have built my own computer, but I do need an operating system and I got this thing on a November when my dad's laptop died (he needed my old computer as a replacement but I needed it for school work :schwitz. Any suggestions?

Spam, I think. Go look at his previous posts and you might find out why.
By the way, awesome FZ skin Chris! It looks intimidating when you look in your rear view mirror and find that car with that skin speeding towards you!

You don't save it as a txt file, nor do you open it as a txt file, just save it as a .set file and put it in to your setups folder which is in the data folder of where you installed LFS. LFS will open it up for you when you select the set in the garage.

Some of the videos are not encoded to that format yet so you might have to try again later. You can also try "&fmt=6" but the sound is a little worse than "fmt18" (maybe the video quality too but I don't notice much of a difference).
