if youre willing to provide the code for a highly accurate engine simulation that can come up with torque curves for remaps added turbos etc in the timeframe it takes to modify an lfs setup free of charge and no strings attached to scawen he might be tempted to incude it in lfs

Quote from xtraction :This i s why younger girls (mainly teens) are not the option, unless they are REALLY mature. They have no clue what they want

you seem to be confused about what maturity and knowing what you want means
sounds like she knows exactly what she wants and youre not it and shes mature and decisive enough to take action

assuming you have a decent enough power supply (kinda doubt it but anyway) heres a rough idea of what should be a good build slightly over budget

i5 3570k ~193€
cheap z77 mainboard ~75€
2*4gb 1600mhz ram kit ~35€
amd 7850 ~140€
samsung 840 120gb ~82€

if you drop the 7850 to a 7770ghz you should come out ~20-30€ udner 500 which could allow you to get a cpu fan that wont drive you mad

i dont think stupid adequately describes the leve of absolutely baffling retardation you exhibit on a daily basis and in this thread in particular

Quote from CheerioDM :What do you mean? I have had a bulldozer board that supports SLI and CrossFireX for I don't know how long.

and how much use have youve been getting out of that feature?

Quote from dawesdust_12 :What Shot is saying is that the bulldozer MB with similar features totally negates the savings by buying AMD for a CPU.

more importantly what im trying to say (apparently badly) is that if youre shopping amd because its a few euros cheaper youre not the demographic that has a desperate need for a board which supports more than 1 graphics card

Quote from Matrixi :If AMD dropped out completely from the mid- to high end markets, we would all be in deep sh*t very soon. Without AMD in the game, Intel would have no reason to keep pushing R&D forwards.

whoops

Quote from Matrixi :Until Ivy-E comes later this year, it is a waste of money compared to 3770K, unless you need lots of PCIE lanes for SLI/crossfire + accessory cards that X79 mobos offer.

i could think of quite a few applications at work where a comparatively cheap quad channel 64gig (although thats still not enough really) hexacore system would come in handy

Quote :I know the 8350 is around 20€ cheaper than 3570K and assumed Z77 motherboards to be around that much more aswell.

the cheapest ones of each are acrually about 10€ cheaper for z77
to get a roughly equivalent feature set youre looking at around 20-25€ more for the z77 but the whole discussion about bulldozer being so much cheaper falls flat on its face when you demand that the board has support for sli and what have you so a cheap z77 board that already comes with everything you really need is more than enough

Quote from Matrixi :Without AMD in the game, Intel would have no reason to keep pushing R&D forwards.

not quite they have plenty of competition although at the low performance low power consumption end of the scale
also the 39 series is pretty much useless for anything other than scientific work or people which too much money to waste

Quote from Matrixi :Since the price difference between 8350 and 3570K is only ~50 euros or so with a motherboard

not sure how you come up with those numbers since z77 motherboards are actually cheaper than 990fx ones and the rams bulldozer requires are a bit more expensive as well so i come up with a price difference of pretty much 0 for a complete system

Depends on what you're building. if you're after a high end system then bulldozer is absolutecrap compared to ivy. If you've making a htpc light gaming steam box sort of build that relies on integrated graphics I'd say trinity is the way to go

Quote from wheel4hummer :Well, Virginia Beach, Virginia has a forcible rape rate of 13.5 out of 100,000 people, whereas New York City, New York has a rate of 13.3 out of 100,000 people. That is only a difference of two people out of 1 million unless my math is terrible. You can open carry a gun in the state of Virginia.

still doesnt prove that guns help though

Quote :Virginia Beach has a robbery rate of 93.0 out of 100,000. NYC: 240.8 out of 100,000. What would one who claims that gun control affects crime rate claim based on that information? That gun control reduces rape but increases robbery? I would personally not argue that, as there are many other factors that could affect the rate of either crime.

true and the point of my post was mainly to show how inane flymikes logic is
but on that point between burglary and robbery which one includes pickpocketing? im guessing its robbery since burglary is the lowest in the us
with much more people either walking palces or using public transport in new york than in the rest of the us and nyc having a ton of tourists i would imagine that is a rather big issue which is something that carrying guns could only make worse

Quote from flymike91 :Still, the way gun laws are progressing forwards, NY's de facto handgun ban will also be ruled unconstitutional in time. I would be very happy to make a better comparison then.

actually nyc is a great example
no guns which according to you are a womans only line of defense and the 3rd lowest rate of rape in major us cities http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/U ... ates_cities_by_crime_rate
and about half of the rapes per capita of austin which between you living there and on account of it being in texas i presum allows women to carry guns
