theres millions and billions of indipendent influences actors and other factors creating the environment a species and its genes live in
the sum of all that is essentially random fron in internal pov
it is random thats why you end up with the ridiculous argument that evolution is impossible if you calculate the probability of this planet ending up in exactly the state its in right now assuming that this is the only way it could have gone
could you move the "new" link on the "New Posts" search back to the left of the thread links (where it used to be) so the location where you have to click doesnt jump around with every thread?
so what?
you need a pretty insane graphics card to get anywhere near 75fps in most modern games and get the full enjoyment out of your dk2 so you can expect the majority of rift users to have at least 2-3gb of vram
nah thats not how it works
it would only completely get rid of it if the refreshrate of your screen and the physics rate would be inegral number multiplicates of each other
so with the targeted refreshrate of 90hz for the cv1 a 900hz phyiscs rate would result in a compltely smooth image but 1000 would still give you some stuttering
that said at 1000hz the time offset would probably be so small to not be noticeable
i personally prefer af and aa to be off by default since i force them through the driver anyway (especially for aa where the driver offers much better lookign options than lfs)
one of the the problems with lfs is that there hasnt been any new content since s2 dropped 9 years ago
one of the easiest ways to get some more content into the game and add some variety to the selection of tracks is to add already existing different versions of the tracks
yeah its definitely a problem of not syncing the physics updates with the monitor
the only reliable solution for it was my old crt which supported arbitrary refreshrates of 100hz and above
the other solution is like scawen mentioned by enabling the graphics to interpolate between physics steps (most easily achieved with decoupling the physcis and graphics into seperate thread afaik) but that has the downside of introducing lag between your inputs and the graphics
theres no task bar it looks and behaves exactly like a fullscreen game except that you can alt tab out of it like its a window (no flashing black screens and all that rubbish)
you could try dota2 or any other modern free to play game as most games support that mode these days (especially competitive ones thta people stream a lot)
yeah so it acts more like a crt where the pixels only flash on briefly
the point is though that an oled screen itself shouldnt blur either way since the pixels themself take near as makes no difference 0 time to switch states
however on a sample and hold display you also get additional (non display related) motion blur becuase your eyes have time to smear the image across the retina for the 1/75th of a second its being displayed (and if the display is seriously bright you can also get the effect of seeing a ghost image persist in your vision like you have after looking into the sun or a flashlight)
i think wed need a colour adjustment mode to finetune things
my monitor is reasonably close to srgb and i still get a fair bit of ghosting (mind you i have very cheap red/cyan glasses but still)
i think theyre pretty clear in saying that theyve never officially supported anythign below 7 and that anything working on antique xp is luck but not to be expected
